Launching the Month of Action for Children in the Army

(LĐ online) - On the morning of May 28, in Hanoi, the Committee for Population, Family and Children of the Ministry of National Defense held a launching ceremony to respond to the Month of Action for Children and the National Month of Action on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence in the Army in 2025 with the theme: Prioritizing resources to complete goals for children and Ending violence, fostering love.

Colonel Dam Quang Duc - Deputy Commander of the Provincial Military Command chaired the Conference at the Lam Dong Provincial Military Command bridge point.

The launching ceremony was held in person and online throughout the army. At the Lam Dong Provincial Military Command, Colonel Dam Quang Duc - Deputy Commander of the Provincial Military Command and delegates attended the online launching ceremony.

Over the years, the Party Committees and commanders of agencies and units in the entire army have always attached importance to, led, directed, and implemented the work in an orderly and effective manner. The entire army has promoted the movement to participate in the care,education , and protection of children, actively organized activities in response to the Month of Action for Children and the National Month of Action on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence in the Army such as: Meeting and praising excellent students; organizing tours, summer camps for children of soldiers and workers, and many other activities.

In 2024 and the first 6 months of 2025, the Ministry of National Defense has allocated the Children's Support Fund to support 2,301 children in especially difficult circumstances, children of soldiers who have had heart surgery, major surgery, serious illnesses, children of martyrs who have overcome difficulties and studied well; visited and presented gifts to children of officers and soldiers working in remote areas, border and island areas with a total amount of more than 9.2 billion VND...

At the launching ceremony, the leaders of the Ministry of National Defense requested that Party committees and commanders at all levels in the entire army continue to pay attention to leading, directing, and implementing well the policies and guidelines on family and child work. In addition, promote communication, education, and raise awareness so that each military family and employee in the army strictly implements the Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence; Law on Marriage and Family; Law on Children, and children's rights.

Thereby, promoting good traditional values, building progressive, equal, happy families to nurture and educate children to become good children, good students, and grow up to become useful people for society. At the same time, promoting the achieved results, continuing to spread and replicate models with strong humanity and sharing that have been effectively implemented by units in the past time...

On this occasion, the Committee for Population, Family and Children of the Ministry of National Defense awarded scholarships worth 5 million VND to each child of a martyr and to the adopted children of the border guard station (total amount of 30 million VND).
