On September 20, Mr. Nguyen Phuong, village 15, Bao Lam 3 commune (Lam Dong) said that his family's coffee garden had branches broken and stolen by thieves.

Mr. Phuong’s family is currently cultivating 4 sao of coffee. Of these, more than 20 of the first ripe coffee trees of this year’s crop were vandalized.

Similarly, Ms. H.'s coffee garden (cultivated near Mr. Phuong's family's garden) also had branches broken and nearly 30 trees stolen.

According to local people, the coffee harvest will begin in about a month. The fact that the newly ripe coffee has been broken off and stolen by thieves has made people extremely worried.

Early ripening coffee trees in Mr. Phuong's and Ms. H's gardens were both cut and stolen.

It is known that in recent years when coffee prices have increased, coffee theft has become a problem in Lam Dong . Many cases of coffee theft have been discovered, investigated and clarified by the authorities.
