Reporter: What sparked your interest in social issues and led you to include them in your new music video?

- Meritorious Artist Kim Tiểu Long: I chose the theme "Divorce" to express the suffering not only of those involved but also of their children. Childhood is innocent; why should children be forced to bear the pain of their parents going their separate ways?

Nowadays, artistic products are geared towards community life; they cannot simply praise love in a generic, clichéd way, but must delve into real life and address social issues of concern.

"Perhaps you've experienced divorce yourself, which is why you understand and want to share your feelings?" - First of all, the song "Divorce" by composer Tay Giang is very moving, and director Lu Kien Hao also deeply empathizes with me, so the music video was made with the most genuine emotions. It aims to show how people today love, care, then get angry, act thoughtlessly, and end up breaking up, causing suffering for their children.

Previously, I made a music video for "Losing to a Stranger," about brothers tearing each other apart over money. Now I'm changing the theme to talk about the issue of divorce. I've also experienced a broken marriage, so this song easily resonates with my own inner feelings.

Do you expect music and traditional Vietnamese opera performances to undergo significant changes when brought to digital platforms?

- That's what I'm hoping for. Nowadays, the public demands investment in artistic products, and their perspective is very sophisticated. You can't do things haphazardly, so you have to pour all your heart and creativity into each segment, so that music videos addressing social and family issues are more easily accepted by the audience.

On April 14th, I will be holding a launch event for my music video "Divorce," featuring many famous artists and singers. This is because my close friends and colleagues have always supported me in creating music, traditional Vietnamese opera, and excerpts on contemporary themes.
