On the morning of October 17, Mr. Dang Quoc Thang - Deputy Head of the Tu Mo Rong District Forest Protection Department ( Kon Tum ) said that the unit had just received a pig-tailed macaque and a red-faced macaque belonging to group IIB, in the list of endangered and rare forest plants and animals from a household in the area.
Ms. Y Duong worked at Tu Mo Rong District Forest Protection Department to hand over two rare monkeys.
Accordingly, Ms. Y Duong (residing in Kach Nho village, Dak Sao commune, Tu Mo Rong district) discovered two monkeys of unknown origin wandering into the garden, destroying furniture and entering her family's house. When she learned that these two monkeys were rare wild animals, she quickly reported them to the Tu Mo Rong District Forest Protection Department to hand them over.
Tu Mo Rong District Forest Protection Department received two rare monkeys and transferred them to the Center for Biodiversity Conservation and Ecotourism , Chu Mom Ray National Park Management Board.
During the working process, the District Forest Protection Department discovered two monkeys, including a pig-tailed macaque weighing 4.5 kg and a red-faced macaque weighing 6.5 kg. During the working session, Ms. Y Duong voluntarily submitted a request to hand over the wild animals to the state.
After receiving it, Tu Mo Rong District Forest Protection Department transferred it to the Center for Biodiversity Conservation and Ecotourism, Chu Mom Ray National Park Management Board to organize rescue, care and release it back to the natural environment according to regulations.
Ms. Y Duong handed over two rare monkeys to the authorities.
