The Chief of Con Co Border Guard Station, Lieutenant Colonel Le Quoc Hoc, informed that the female body discovered above was about 40 years old, and was in an intact condition. The victim was wearing a long-sleeved black shirt (with the letter B), a black T-shirt underneath, and no pants; black socks on her right arm and both legs, a red wool hat on her head, gray hair with silver streaks, earrings suspected to be gold, and a deformed face.
Lieutenant Colonel Le Quoc Hoc said that immediately after receiving the news, the Quang Tri Provincial Border Guard Command directed the Con Co Border Guard Station to coordinate with the Police and the Con Co Island District Medical Center to bring the victim ashore to identify the identity, take DNA samples and carry out legal procedures according to regulations.
