Information from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Quang Tri province said that yesterday, June 15, the unit submitted a document to the Provincial People's Committee to submit to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment to create conditions for support from the national reserve to urgently support 130 tons of Khang Dan rice seeds to help local farmers re-sow the summer-autumn rice crop in 2025 damaged by the impact of storm No. 1.

According to the report of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, this summer-autumn crop, the whole province planted over 22,000 hectares, reaching over 98% of the plan, rice is in the seedling - tillering stage; upland crops (cassava, peanuts, beans,...) are in the stage of developing stems, leaves, tubers,...

Due to the impact of storm No. 1, from the evening of June 10 to June 13, 2025, there was widespread heavy rain in the province, many places had heavy to very heavy rain, combined with flood water from upstream rivers rising and pouring down strongly, causing flooding of many rice and crop areas, greatly affecting agricultural production and people's lives in the province.

After checking the actual situation and synthesizing the damage from localities, the whole province has over 21,400 hectares of rice in the seedling - tillering stage and 3,800 hectares of crops (cassava, peanuts, vegetables, beans, etc.) in the stage of developing stems, leaves, tubers, etc. deeply submerged in water, estimated damage of more than 458 billion VND.
