Man found driving car fell into canal and died

(NLDO) - A 72-year-old man and his car fell into a canal in Cu Chi district and died.


On February 1, authorities in Cu Chi district (HCMC) are investigating the death of a man driving a car into a canal.

Initial information, at more than 8 pm, people living at Kinh 12 bridge, Bo Kinh 12 street, Tan An Hoi commune heard a loud noise. They ran to see a 7-seat car falling into the canal in the above area, so they called the authorities.

Authorities then arrived at the scene to come up with a plan to salvage the car. When the car was lifted, police discovered a man's body.

Initial identification of the victim was Mr. N. (72 years old, residing in District 3), a retired official.

Currently, the cause of the incident is being investigated by Cu Chi District Police, extracting camera footage and taking statements.
