According to information from the E-commerce Development Center (Ecomviet) - Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy ( Ministry of Industry and Trade ), in January 2025, authorities discovered an additional 72 fake and fraudulent websites.
Among them were 30 fake websites impersonating e-commerce platforms and e-commerce delivery service providers such as Amazon, eBay, Taobao, Shopee, Vietnam Post, Giao Hang Tiet Kiem, Giao Hang Nhanh; 16 fake websites impersonating major brands such as Facebook, Telegram, TikTok, VinGroup, Viettel , VNG; 15 fake websites of state agencies and organizations; and 11 fake websites of banks and financial institutions.
Additionally, in 2024, the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy received and processed 165 complaints regarding violations such as: failure to register or notify websites/applications, providing substandard products, impersonating other businesses to defraud customers, etc.
The unit also coordinated with police investigation agencies in provinces and cities to provide information verifying violations on dozens of e-commerce websites/applications, such as: Retamino68.com, cronbase2.one, vluky.com and 323.com, tienlientaybb2.com…
In Phu Yen province, in 2024, the Phu Yen Market Management Department conducted specialized inspections on e-commerce, detecting and handling several businesses and individuals trading goods through websites and personal Facebook accounts without notifying the competent state management agency about their e-commerce websites before selling goods; and using the previously notified logo on their e-commerce websites without prior approval or confirmation from the competent state agency...
