On the morning of June 29, the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union, the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union, and the Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam Student Association organized the launching ceremony of the 32nd Green Summer volunteer campaign, the 14th Green Tutor program - 2025 and launched the peak activity day "Volunteer soldiers pioneering digital transformation, accompanying the locality".

Attending the program were comrades: Nguyen Manh Cuong, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; Tran Thi Dieu Thuy, Vice Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee; Ngo Minh Hai, Secretary of the City Youth Union, Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Union of Ho Chi Minh City.

At the program, Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Manh Cuong affirmed that the Party Committee, government and people of the city always highly appreciate and are proud of the volunteer youth journey of generations of young people.

Since 1994, starting with the Summer Cultural Light campaign, after more than 3 decades of organization, the summer volunteer campaigns and programs have demonstrated the spirit of dedication of young people in building, developing and protecting the city and the country. It is also an environment for young people to practice, mature, and contribute their youth to the implementation of local and unit tasks.

Comrade Nguyen Manh Cuong hopes that each volunteer soldier will continue to promote the spirit, will and volunteer tradition of the city's youth, ready to take on difficult and new tasks.

In particular, volunteer activities must be closely linked to the practical context of the city in the context of administrative boundary adjustment. In particular, focusing on supporting localities to edit and digitize documents, deploy the "Digital Education for All" movement, and organize summer activities for children in wards, communes, and new special zones. At the same time, ensuring the smooth operation of the Youth Union and Association at all levels and the youth and student movement.

Comrade Nguyen Manh Cuong especially noted that in the process of performing tasks, it is necessary to ensure safety, maintain discipline and build a beautiful image of volunteer soldiers in the hearts of the people, so that each soldier always "is loved by the people, trusted by the people, and remembered when he leaves".

The Green Summer volunteer campaign will take place from June to August 2025, implementing 4 key projects: "Saigon River - The River of My City" phase 3; construction project of "Thanh Nien Island" in Thanh An island commune; "Giving a waterway rescue boat to Thanh An island commune, Can Gio district"; implementing 5 solar street lighting projects in the locality.

The campaign realizes a number of specific targets, such as: organizing 150 volunteer teams "Accompanying the locality" with 37,000 volunteer hours to support units in residential areas to archive, digitize records, arrange headquarters to serve the organization of the apparatus; maintain 300 teams "Digital education for the masses"; organize and connect organizations to care for and support at least 80,000 people, youth and children in difficult circumstances...

The 2025 Green Shirt Tutor Program is organized to teach periodically on Saturdays, Sundays or weekdays according to the needs of team members and students with the motto "Green Shirt Tutor - Knowledge Baggage".
