Acting as a bridge between businesses and workers, the Provincial Employment Service Center under the Department of Home Affairs has been proactive in exploiting recruitment needs, attracting workers to seek jobs; doing a good job of introducing jobs, providing vocational training advice and receiving and completing unemployment insurance benefit applications for workers.

The Provincial Employment Service Center organized a conference to propagate unemployment insurance policies and provide consultation and job introduction for workers.

Son La is a mountainous province with a large area, abundant labor force, and high demand for jobs. To support workers in grasping recruitment information, having suitable jobs with stable salaries, Son La Provincial Employment Service Center has implemented many solutions to promote the connection between labor supply and demand, enhance information sharing, and supply labor resources.

Mr. Vu Quang Khai, Director of the Provincial Employment Service Center, said: Identifying job counseling and referral as a core task throughout its operations, the Center always focuses on innovation to improve efficiency in this field by diversifying the content and forms of counseling such as direct counseling for workers looking for jobs, resolving unemployment insurance policies at the Center; counseling workers to participate in job fairs; inviting businesses with labor recruitment needs to directly inform about job positions, recruitment needs... so that workers clearly understand labor laws and policies as well as job opportunities and their own responsibilities.

Since the beginning of the year, the Center has organized 90 job counseling and labor recruitment conferences in communes across the province with the participation of 4,160 workers; provided advice on the Party and State's legal policies on employment, labor export and labor market information to over 21,100 people, reaching 92% of the 2025 plan, reaching 129% compared to the same period in 2024. At the same time, provided job counseling for workers enjoying unemployment insurance policies with 3,238 people; posted 144 recruitment positions for companies and businesses.

In particular, the website vieclamsonla.net is increasingly known and accessed by many businesses and workers to learn and register information about recruitment, job search and labor export.

In the first 10 months of 2025, 8,855 workers had stable jobs at companies and enterprises such as Yen Chau Shoe Joint Stock Company, Vietnam Coal and Mineral Vocational College, Brother Vietnam Industrial Co., Ltd., Regina Hai Phong Co., Ltd. ... Of which, there were 31 workers working abroad; nearly 100 workers working in the province and 8,720 workers working outside the province; reaching 295% of the 2025 plan, reaching 185.6% compared to the same period in 2024.

Ms. Lan said: When I learned that the Provincial Employment Service Center organized a job fair, I came to participate with the desire to directly access businesses and recruitment information. Thanks to that, I was accepted by the Company and trained and learned a trade for a month. After basically understanding the work process, I signed a labor contract. Currently, I have a stable income of nearly 6 million VND/month, the Company pays insurance and enjoys full employee benefits. I will try to produce and work overtime to earn more income.

Along with job counseling and referral, in 2025, the Provincial Employment Service Center will always proactively and promptly deploy solutions to support and facilitate procedures for workers to resolve unemployment insurance records. The Center has provided job counseling for 3,238 workers eligible for unemployment insurance policies; received and processed 18,503 administrative procedures on unemployment insurance through the province's electronic one-stop shop and the National Public Service Portal; resolved unemployment insurance policies for 100% of those who applied for unemployment benefits. In addition, it organized 6 conferences to propagate unemployment insurance policies; provided job counseling and referrals for 538 workers receiving unemployment benefits and 1 training course for 17 officials and workers of the Center on unemployment insurance policies and job counseling and referral skills in employment service activities.

In the context of a rapidly changing labor market and an increasing need to connect supply and demand, Son La Provincial Employment Service Center has become a reliable bridge, providing information, analysis, forecasting and orienting practical solutions for workers and businesses, while ensuring effective implementation of unemployment insurance policies, contributing to improving the quality of human resources and sustainable development of the province.
