Working with units at the Ca Mau Gas - Electricity - Fertilizer Industrial Cluster, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Huynh Chi Nguyen emphasized the need to focus on promoting production and business to create breakthroughs in the last months of the year, contributing significantly to the province's overall growth target.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that the potential and development space of the Ca Mau Gas - Electricity - Fertilizer Complex is still very large, especially with the plan to expand 2 Ca Mau gas power plants, the export of Ca Mau Fertilizer is continuously growing, and the products from Ca Mau Gas are increasingly diverse, with a wide consumption market. He emphasized: " Ca Mau gas power output full of potential, the problem is to mobilize the maximum to bring it to the national grid, create profits from electricity and gas, contributing to the overall growth of the province".

According to the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, the locality aims for a growth rate of 8.8% in the last 6 months of the year, striving to achieve an annual growth rate of 8.5%, in which the Gas - Electricity - Fertilizer Industrial Cluster plays a key role. Therefore, it is necessary to focus and be determined in mobilizing gas and electricity resources, promoting the production of nitrogen fertilizer and commercial gas, expanding the market, growing strongly, and making worthy contributions to the socio-economic development of the province and the whole country.

During a survey trip to the Export Port of Ca Mau Petroleum Fertilizer Joint Stock Company (Ca Mau Fertilizer Plant), Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Huynh Chi Nguyen expressed his joy at the production and business results, especially the growth of the nitrogen fertilizer industry when expanding the market and export turnover continuously increasing compared to the same period.

In the first 6 months of the year, although commercial gas output decreased by 2.7% (reaching 888 million m³), liquefied gas decreased by 3.7% (72,715 tons), electricity output decreased by 3.2% (3,338 million kWh) compared to the same period, fertilizer output still reached 636,544 tons, equal to 55.8% of the plan and increased by 4.8% over the same period; export turnover reached 83.5 million USD, equal to 59.6% of the plan and increased by 20.8% over the same period.

The leaders of the Provincial People's Committee and representatives of relevant departments and branches listened to and acknowledged the difficulties and obstacles in the development process of units in the Ca Mau Gas - Power - Fertilizer Complex. At the same time, they provided directions and advised the Provincial People's Committee and higher levels to promptly remove them, creating favorable conditions for enterprises to develop to their full potential, effectively exploiting potentials and advantages, thereby creating a strong driving force for the Ca Mau industry.

Before the working session, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Huynh Chi Nguyen and the delegation surveyed the operation and production situation at Ca Mau Gas Processing Plant, Ca Mau Oil and Gas Power Company and Ca Mau Fertilizer Plant. During this working trip, the provincial leaders also surveyed and evaluated the progress and production capacity of the Minh Phat Seafood Processing Plant Project and the CP Ca Mau Aquatic Feed Plant Project in Khanh An Industrial Park (Khanh An Commune).
