Developing AI, making Vietnam a bright spot in technology

On September 22, in Ho Chi Minh City, the 2023 Artificial Intelligence Festival (AI4VN 2023) with the theme "Artificial Intelligence - Power for Life" was opened. This is an event directed by the Ministry of Science and Technology, organized by VnExpress Newspaper, in coordination with the Club of Information and Communication Technology Faculties - Institutes - Schools (FISU).

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the festival, Minister of Science and Technology Huynh Thanh Dat said that after more than two years of implementation, the National Strategy on Research, Development and Application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to 2030 has made AI an important technology field in Vietnam, strongly promoting socio -economic development, gradually making Vietnam a bright spot in research, development and application of AI in the region and the world. Many AI-based products have been applied in life; Vietnamese corporations and enterprises have invested heavily in AI.

A report published by Oxford Insights in collaboration with the Canadian International Development Research Center shows that in 2022, Vietnam will rank 55th in the world , up 7 places compared to 2021.
