The joint venture company Wuyang Honda has just officially launched the Honda U-be 2026 electric scooter model in the Chinese market. This is a comprehensive upgrade generation of the previous U-be line, featuring a modern design, high-quality alloy frame and smart battery technology. The 2026 Honda U-be has completely changed its exterior, using aluminum-magnesium alloy instead of traditional plastic materials. This material not only makes the body stronger, lighter and more corrosion-resistant, but also brings a high-class feel with a shiny metal surface that reflects natural light.
The frame is manufactured using a highly precise digital process, ensuring stability and longevity. Honda also fine-tuned the rear shock absorber to suit Asian urban road conditions, helping the vehicle operate more smoothly when traveling long distances or carrying heavy loads. Honda equips U-be with smart lithium battery with IP67 water and dust resistance standard, integrated with electronic protection layers against overcharging, short circuit, overheating or low voltage. The controller automatically cuts off the power when detecting an abnormality, helping to ensure absolute safety during the charging process. The 2026 version is upgraded with the TCS traction control system and dual-piston front and rear disc brakes, providing a safer driving experience, especially on slippery roads. Honda also equipped a USB charging port, a hook, and a redesigned saddle suitable for Asian body shape, helping users to easily operate in urban areas.
One of the most notable features of the 2026 Honda U-be is its multi-mode smart unlocking capability. Users can open the vehicle via NFC, Bluetooth or mobile app, and share the electronic key with relatives via smartphone. Through the official Honda app, users can easily check battery status, locate the vehicle, turn on vibration alerts or adjust the display interface. The entire control system and battery are compatible with Honda's smart energy management platform, allowing synchronization of usage and maintenance data. Honda offers three different battery configurations for users to choose from according to their needs and costs. The 48V - 12Ah lead-acid version is the standard choice with the lowest price, while the 24Ah lithium-ion battery offers a balance between performance and cost. The top-end 30Ah lithium-ion battery offers longer usage time, suitable for frequent travelers. All three versions support fast charging, allowing for a full charge in a short time, while meeting the requirements for battery life and operational safety of the new Chinese standard. With a compact design, low seat and flexible operation, U-be 2026 is considered a direct competitor to urban scooters such as Vision and Giorno, but has a much cheaper price.
With a selling price of only 3,599 - 4,599 yuan (equivalent to 11.5 - 14.5 million VND), U-be 2026 is currently Honda's cheapest electric scooter model, but still meets the new national technical standards for safety and performance. The affordable price and elegant design make this model quickly attract the attention of consumers, especially young and female customers. Thanks to a series of upgrades in quality, safety and smart connectivity, the Honda U-be 2026 is expected to become the most popular electric vehicle model in China and can expand to Asian markets including Vietnam, where demand for urban electric vehicles is increasing.
