High technology applications

With the characteristics of a type I urban area under the province, the terrain of Hue City stretches from mountainous areas to lagoons and coastal areas. Main targets by 2030: agricultural growth rate increases by over 4%/year; cultivation value reaches over 100 million/ha of cultivation, of which specialty fruit trees alone reach over 200 million/ha; the proportion of livestock and aquaculture reaches 15% of the total agricultural production value...

Development orientation

The project will focus on zoning SPNNCL production and potential in a sustainable direction in accordance with relevant planning, in accordance with the development orientation of the province in general and the city in particular. In particular, for the field of cultivation, developing the production of the city's key crops in the direction of organic, high-tech agriculture, combining eco -tourism , ensuring food safety, increasing income for people and creating a good environmental landscape.

In the livestock sector, develop pig and poultry farming in the direction of biosafety and organic farming, increase the model of free-range chicken farming, use available and natural food sources, improve productivity and quality of chicken meat in suitable areas; develop cattle herds in the direction of biosafety and organic farming, improve productivity and quality of meat, do not increase the number of heads. The aquaculture sector will develop sustainable aquaculture associated with promoting community tourism development, stabilizing the area of ponds in the lagoon area and continuing to maintain the form of mixed farming of black tiger shrimp, crabs, and brackish water fish at appropriate density.

The forestry sector will develop large-scale timber and hybrid acacia plantations in a sustainable manner, on a household scale, to improve productivity and quality of plantations to meet the demand for high-quality sawn timber in the market, increase income for households growing large timber forests and ensure the landscape environment for the city, while preserving and developing the value of the Ru Cha ecosystem and mangrove forests, combined with the development of ecotourism.

According to the leaders of Hue City People's Committee, the results of the project on developing key products will create concentrated commodity production areas with the city's strong crops and livestock; key products with large output, high quality and added value, branded and competitive in the market, meeting part of the local demand.
