Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed a decision approving the election results for the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Son La province for the 2021-2026 term with Mr. Nguyen Dinh Viet, Deputy Secretary of the Son La Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

Previously, on November 7, the 25th thematic session of the People's Council of Son La province, term XV, 2021-2026, elected Mr. Nguyen Dinh Viet, Deputy Secretary of Son La Provincial Party Committee, to hold the position of Chairman of Son La Provincial People's Committee, with an absolute number of votes.
The new Chairman of the People's Committee of Son La province, Nguyen Dinh Viet, was born in 1977, his hometown is Yen My town, Yen My district, Hung Yen province. He has a master's degree in Commerce, Business Administration; and a senior degree in political theory.
During his career, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Viet held the following positions: Head of Department, Secretary of the Chairman of the Economic Committee of the National Assembly; Deputy Head of the Economic Department, then Head of the Economic Department, Office of the National Assembly; Deputy Head of the Economic Committee of the National Assembly.
On November 1, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Viet was mobilized and appointed by the Secretariat to join the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Son La Provincial Party Committee.
The Prime Minister signed Decision No. 1415 approving the results of the dismissal of Mr. Hoang Quoc Khanh from the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Son La province for the 2021-2026 term, to take on a new assignment.
Previously, the Politburo approved Mr. Hoang Quoc Khanh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Son La province to hold the position of Secretary of the Son La Provincial Party Committee, term 2020-2025.
