In early September, the city in general and Ngo Quyen district in particular suffered huge economic and infrastructure losses caused by storm No. 3 (storm Yagi); many businesses, producers, traders, and workers were affected; many workers were unemployed or lost their jobs. In that context, along with a high focus on overcoming the consequences of the storm, the Ngo Quyen District Job Fair and Career Counseling 2024 was organized to encourage and create conditions for businesses and business households to quickly overcome the damage and return to normal production and business.

The job fair attracted 41 booths from 41 participating businesses and units with more than 5,500 recruitment and enrollment positions.

The 2024 Ngo Quyen District Job Fair not only creates a connection environment between businesses and workers, but is also a good opportunity for young workers to access the labor market, be provided with labor market information, thereby learning, cultivating, and equipping themselves with basic skills and knowledge, the ability to adapt to fluctuations in the labor market upon graduation, and gain more experience when accessing the labor market .

At the same time, through the session, relevant functional units clearly grasped the labor and employment situation in the area and developed appropriate plans and programs to effectively implement programs to support job creation for workers, ensuring social security, contributing to the completion of the district's socio-economic goals in 2024 and the following years.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee awarded 24 gifts (worth 1 million VND/gift) to workers who had their jobs cut or lost due to storm No. 3; 600 gifts to students and 700 gifts to workers participating in the program./.
