At the meeting on the socio-economic situation, the press said that the Phan Xich Long Food Street project has many unreasonable things such as: the price of a bowl of Kobe beef pho is 999,000 VND, and the ineffective operation has caused a waste of tens of billions of VND. Answering the above question, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhu Y, Chief of Office of Phu Nhuan District People's Committee, said that in fact, Phan Xich Long food street has existed for a long time, is a place where many restaurants and eateries serve not only Phu Nhuan residents, city residents, but also foreigners, domestic and foreign tourists. The representative of Phu Nhuan District People's Committee stated that it is necessary to focus on investment and improve management efficiency to promote the existing brand of Phan Xich Long food street. The investment is aimed at both economic development, implementing the city's general policy on developing the night-time economy, creating a highlight for tourism, and at the same time enhancing the responsibility of local state management for the food street.

Ms. Nhu Y said that due to the nature of the area specializing in culinary business, with a large number of people passing by, some points on Phan Xich Long Street have been damaged, degraded, and lost the urban beauty. Phu Nhuan District has made a plan to prepare investment and repair steps according to regulations. The District has organized to collect opinions from the community and received the consensus and support of the majority of people with a donation of more than 2.7 billion VND.

Ms. Nhu Y emphasized: “Phan Xich Long Food Street was deployed and implemented in accordance with legal regulations and did not cause any waste. After focusing on implementing state management contents related to this street, business efficiency at the locations increased significantly, the specialized content on food alone increased (more than 11%) from 273 to 286 restaurants and eateries”.

In addition, according to Ms. Y, promoting culinary business management activities, investing in completing infrastructure, ensuring security and order; building a Phan Xich Long culinary street app to connect businesses and diners (completely free of charge) has contributed to promoting entertainment, cultural, and sports activities, connecting the government with businesses and business households, and boosting the night economy.
