Disseminate national defense and security knowledge to officials and people in border areas

(GLO)-On July 28, in Duc Co district, the Department of Organization and Personnel ( Ministry of Information and Communications ) coordinated with the People's Committee of Gia Lai province to organize a conference to disseminate national defense and security knowledge to cadres and people in border areas, mountainous areas, remote areas in 2023.

Attending the conference were Mr. Pham Hung Sinh - Deputy Director of the Department of Organization and Personnel (Ministry of Information and Communications) and leaders of a number of departments, branches and sectors of the province and Duc Co district.

The conference heard reporters from the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and the Police College ( Ministry of Public Security ) presenting 5 topics: viewpoints and policies of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the State's policies on ethnicity and religion; the Party's guidelines and viewpoints, policies and laws of the State of Vietnam on protecting political, economic, cultural and ideological security in the new situation; national borders and protecting national border sovereignty; managing and protecting Vietnam's sea and island sovereignty; preventing and combating the strategy of "peaceful evolution" and violent overthrow by hostile forces against Vietnam.

Through the conference, it contributed to creating positive changes in the awareness of cadres and people about the viewpoints and policies on national defense and security of the Party and State; helping to grasp the Party's leadership mechanism, the State's management and operation on national defense and security, clearly recognizing the plots and tricks of hostile forces and the responsibility of cadres and party members in carrying out the task of building a strong national defense and people's security in the new situation. Providing timely and accurate information so that people in ethnic minority and mountainous areas can gradually raise their awareness, proactively prepare all material and spiritual aspects to maintain peace and stability; prevent all plots and acts of riots causing division by hostile forces; be ready to smash plots occurring in all situations, protect strategic areas, and contribute to firmly protecting the Fatherland of Vietnam.
