Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan visits and presents gifts to policy families in Ca Mau province

On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025), on the morning of July 25, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan and her delegation visited and presented gifts to families of policy beneficiaries and people with revolutionary contributions in Ca Mau province.

The delegation visited and presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers Ma Thi Kich (Ba Dieu Hamlet, Ly Van Lam Ward) and Le Thi Chi (Hamlet 8, Ly Van Lam Ward); visited the families of war invalids Hua Van Su (81% disabled, infected with toxic chemicals, residing in Hamlet 4, Ly Van Lam Ward), Huynh Van Trung and Dang Minh Thoi (both residing in Tan Thanh Ward).

On behalf of the Party and State leaders, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan visited the health and life of the heroic Vietnamese mothers and families of war invalids; expressed gratitude for the great contributions and sacrifices of previous generations for the independence, freedom of the nation and the happiness of the people.

The Vice President emphasized that taking care of families with meritorious services to the revolution is the responsibility of the Party, the State and the whole society, and is also a command from the heart, demonstrating the eternal morality of "When drinking water, remember its source" and "Repaying gratitude" of the Vietnamese people. The Vice President suggested that Party committees, authorities at all levels, agencies and organizations in the province continue to pay attention to and do a good job of taking care of people with meritorious services, especially in terms of health, life, education and employment for children of families with meritorious services, in order to ensure sustainable social security.

“Ca Mau currently has more than 21,000 families of meritorious people and policy beneficiaries. From now until September 2, the locality needs to comprehensively review the social security situation, paying special attention to the health of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, war invalids and the economic life of policy beneficiaries. This is an important task that needs to be given top priority,” Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan noted.

The Vice President hopes that mothers will continue to live happily and healthily, and be a spiritual support for their children and grandchildren. Families with meritorious services will continue to promote revolutionary traditions, be shining examples in the community, actively propagate and encourage their children and grandchildren to strictly follow the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws and policies; contributing to building the homeland of Ca Mau to become increasingly rich, beautiful and civilized.

On this occasion, the delegation offered flowers and incense at the Ho Chi Minh Memorial. In a solemn and respectful atmosphere, the delegates expressed their deep gratitude to the beloved leader of the nation; vowed to study and follow Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, and continue to contribute to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

The delegation offered incense at the Temple of 10 Heroes and Martyrs of Hon Khoai Uprising, commemorating the outstanding sons of Ca Mau who fought and sacrificed heroically in the Hon Khoai Uprising, contributing to writing the heroic history of the nation.

At the Ca Mau Province Martyrs Cemetery, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan, members of the delegation and provincial leaders laid a wreath with the words "Forever grateful to the heroic martyrs", offered incense at the Memorial and lit incense on each grave.

Promoting the tradition of “When drinking water, remember its source”, over the years, the Party Committee, government and people of Ca Mau province have always paid attention to taking good care of people with revolutionary contributions. Preferential policies and regimes have been fully and promptly implemented. Many practical support programs have contributed to improving the material and spiritual lives of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, wounded and sick soldiers, relatives of martyrs and people with revolutionary contributions.

With the glorious revolutionary tradition and the spirit of solidarity, dynamism and creativity, the Party Committee, government, armed forces and people of Ca Mau province are determined to overcome difficulties and strive to build the homeland to develop comprehensively and sustainably, worthy of the sacrifice of heroic martyrs and the trust and love of beloved Uncle Ho.
