Speaking at the opening of the Congress, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tra Vinh province Nguyen Van Triet said that the Congress will complete four basic tasks. These are: Discussing and approving the Summary Report of the 2019-2024 term and the Action Program for the 2024-2029 term of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tra Vinh province; Contributing opinions to the Draft Report and Action Program of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to be submitted to the 10th Congress and contributing to amending the Charter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; Democratic consultation to elect members of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tra Vinh province, term X, term 2024-2029; Democratic consultation to elect a delegation to attend the 10th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2024-2029.

The 10th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Tra Vinh province, term 2024 - 2029, took place over 2 days (August 2 and 3). Previously, on the afternoon of August 2, the Congress held its first working session.
At this working session, the Congress consulted to elect the Presidium and the Congress Secretary; approved the program, rules and regulations of the congress; reported on the situation of delegates attending the congress; asked for opinions on the voting form in the congress; reported on the synthesis of comments on the draft documents of the Provincial Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; reported on the synthesis of comments on the draft documents of the National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; summarized comments on amending and supplementing the Charter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term IX; delegates gave speeches and discussed; disseminated some contents of the preparation work for the next working session.
