On the evening of April 29, walking streets around Hoan Kiem Lake such as Trang Tien, Dinh Tien Hoang, Hang Khay... were packed with people having fun on the occasion of April 30.

On this occasion, many types of street culture were also organized. At the Dinh Liet - Gia Ngu intersection and some other areas in the center of Hoan Kiem district, hundreds of people gathered to watch music performances.

At 8 p.m., people continued to flock to Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square. The weather on the afternoon and evening of April 29 was cool, very favorable for healthy recreational activities of the capital's residents.

Products such as soft drinks and ice cream are selling well this time of year.

Because each of them went to college in a different place, Trang and Huyen took advantage of the holiday to arrange a date. "It's been a long time since we last saw each other, so all day today we were wrapped up in each other, walking around the walking street and going to the cinema to watch a movie," Huyen (left) said.

Mai Ngan and Khanh Ngan and their family traveled from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi for the first time. They came across a henna tattoo shop on the walking street and tried it on their wrists. "I find the atmosphere in Hanoi very bustling, the weather is cooler and more pleasant than in Ho Chi Minh City at this time," Mai Ngan shared.

Food stalls on Ta Hien and Luong Ngoc Quyen streets were overloaded on the first evening of the holiday.

Normally, international tourists come here in large numbers, but during this holiday, domestic tourists make up a larger number.

Late-arriving groups had a hard time finding a seat. Many restaurants and tables were placed in the middle of the street, taking up most of the sidewalk to make the most of the space to serve customers.

A restaurant waiter kept running back and forth carrying food and shouting for help.

Taking advantage of the holiday and cool weather, Ms. Tu and Ms. Phuong traveled from Vinh Phuc province to the capital and went to Ta Hien street to eat snacks and enjoy music. "Because of our busy work, we don't have any plans to go anywhere this year, just hang around Hanoi and return to Vinh Phuc tomorrow morning," Ms. Phuong (right) shared.

Due to the nature of work, this year Ms. Tu (far right) and her group of friends cannot go far away, so all three of them decided to go to Ta Hien street to have fun. "We have a long holiday, so let's eat and drink to our heart's content," she told everyone.

Not only music coming from the bars, Ta Hien street became more bustling when a young man appeared to perform magic for fun.

The later it gets, the more people flock to Ta Hien Street, making it quite difficult to get from here to Hoan Kiem Lake area.
