The project to renovate technical infrastructure, urban embellishment, and organize a walking street around Ngoc Khanh Lake has a total investment of nearly 30 billion VND. The project belongs to Group C of technical infrastructure works, the investor is the Ba Dinh District Construction Investment Project Management Board. During the project implementation, the investor has renovated the technical infrastructure, contributing to enhancing the capacity of rainwater drainage; ensuring urban aesthetics; creating more streets associated with services for people to promote and facilitate the development of service businesses in the area; creating a beautiful, civilized and relaxing landscape for people to walk and play... Ngoc Khanh Lake walking street, when put into operation, will be the second walking street in Ba Dinh district and the 7th walking street in Hanoi city. Having "experienced" walking around Ngoc Khanh Lake for 30 years, Mr. Bui Dac Trung, 85 years old, living in Ngoc Khanh apartment complex (Ba Dinh district, Hanoi) is very excited to see the landscape around the lake being renovated to be more beautiful, clean and civilized. He hopes that relevant units will have management measures to ensure security and order as well as environmental sanitation, to keep the space beautiful like this forever, true to the nature of the walking space. "If not managed well, in a few days the sidewalk and road will be occupied as a place to park cars, motorbikes, and then sell street vendors, it will be very messy", Mr. Trung expressed. Ngoc Khanh Lake is located in a densely populated area and is expected to attract a large number of people in Ba Dinh district as well as tourists to come and relax when it comes into operation. The lakeside sidewalk is equipped with vehicle barriers. A miniature landscape on the shore of Ngoc Khanh Lake has been completed. Stone statues are placed at the tree roots around the lake. However, some of the statues have cracked and broken before they are put into operation. These days, the streets and sidewalks around the lake are decorated with eye-catching flags and flowers. On the morning of October 8, workers of Hanoi Drainage Company Limited collected garbage and cleaned up the environment before the pedestrian street around Ngoc Khanh Lake came into operation. The items have been completed, ready to open the walking street around Ngoc Khanh Lake.
