In addition, the number of candidates achieving excellent scores such as 9.75 and 9 points in math is also higher than last year with 68 candidates achieving 9.75 points and 143 candidates achieving 9 points. In 2024, these numbers are 32 and 123 candidates respectively.

However, this year, the whole city only had 36 candidates scoring 10 points in math. This number in 2024 is 49 students.

In foreign languages, this year there was no "rain of 10s" like previous years. Accordingly, there were only 488 students with 10s this year, about 1/3 of the number in 2024. In addition, there were 1,028 candidates with 9.75 points; 1,494 candidates with 9.5 points and 2,101 candidates with 9 points.

The average score for foreign language in 2025 is 6.75 - 8 points. Meanwhile, in 2024, the average score for this subject is very high (8.75 - 9.5 points).

In literature, this year the city had 2 candidates scoring 9.5 points and 22 candidates scoring 9.25 points. While last year the numbers were 1 and 20 candidates respectively.

Last year, the average score for literature was 6.5 - 7 points and this year is similar.

After announcing the exam scores, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City plans to continue announcing the benchmark scores for public grade 10 on June 26. This year, the Department has shortened the time to announce the exam scores and benchmark scores for grade 10. In previous years, Ho Chi Minh City did not announce the benchmark scores until July.
