FIFA has been accused of commercializing football by staging the 32-team Club World Cup in the American summer, despite a tight schedule and concerns about player health in the heat. Now, that has been confirmed with the party set to take place on Wall Street, New York City.
According to the co-organizers, this is the "official celebration" of the Club World Cup and of course FIFA President Gianni Infantino will be present, then share about the tournament as well as football. Along with that, legends who are very active in promoting the Club World Cup, including Kaka, Ronaldo, Roberto Carlos and Roberto Baggio will also attend.
As mentioned, the King of Sports is increasingly "Americanized" to penetrate the world's most valuable market, so FIFA's party is not only about football. The carefully selected guest list also includes famous people in many fields, from business, fashion to culture. Of course, to attend, the price is not cheap. According to the announcement, Black class tickets are up to 3,000 USD (about 78 million VND), while Platinum class is 2,000 USD (52 million VND) and 1,000 USD (26 million VND) for Silver class tickets.
FIFA has declined to comment on the pricing of the event, nor has it said which organization will receive the proceeds. At the same time, limited-edition tickets for the 2026 World Cup are also on sale, starting at $3,500 per person and going as high as $73,200.
