
As soon as the plane landed, the entire delegation was assigned priority lanes by the Organizing Committee, ensuring smooth immigration procedures. The athletes quickly activated their SEA Games cards, the “key” to accessing the competition, training and accommodation areas.
The host country's reception was carried out smoothly, helping the Vietnamese delegation quickly stabilize their activities and get into sync with the competition schedule.
The excitement was evident on the faces of the athletes and coaches from the first minutes of arriving in Bangkok. After the welcome, the delegation was taken to their accommodation as planned, entering the final stage of preparation before the competition.
According to the schedule, the flag-raising ceremony of the Vietnamese Sports Delegation in Bangkok will take place on the afternoon of December 8 at Hua Mark Indoor Stadium, a ceremony marking Vietnam's official presence at the Games and demonstrating the spirit of solidarity among 11 Southeast Asian countries.
For the Chonburi contingent, the second flag-raising ceremony is scheduled to take place on December 11 at Wyndham Jomtien.
The 33rd SEA Games is considered an important event for Vietnamese sports. With more than 1,100 members, including 842 athletes, our delegation aims to compete impressively in 47/66 sports with 443 sets of medals. The careful preparation before departure, along with the spirit from the Departure Ceremony in Hanoi , is adding motivation to the athletes.
With the expectations of fans and the close attention of industry leaders, the Vietnamese Sports Delegation is expected to compete with confidence, contribute beautiful performances and bring home high achievements at the 33rd SEA Games. The first activities in Thailand have gone smoothly, a favorable start for the journey ahead.
