In the 2025-2026 school year, the kindergarten in Hau village, Phuc Hoa commune, Bac Ninh province will close and move to the main campus in Lan Tranh village.
However, for the past three days, many parents have gathered here to protest the school's move from this satellite campus to the main campus, about 2.5 km away. Therefore, nearly 100 students have not been able to go to class.

On September 9, nearly 100 preschool children in Hau village, Phuc Hoa commune, Bac Ninh still did not go to class because their parents protested the transfer to the main school.
According to some parents, they let their children drop out of school to express their wish to keep the Hau village school because it is close and convenient for pick-up and drop-off. Moving to the new school will make them lose time picking up and drop-off their children as they have to travel 2-2.5km further and traffic is unsafe.
Besides, many students have parents who work far away or in a company, so their grandparents help with picking them up and dropping them off, making commuting very difficult and inconvenient.
Mr. Luong Duc Sang said: "We mainly rely on our grandparents to help us pick up and drop off our children to school, so going further, about 2 - 2.5km, is very dangerous. We want to keep the old school so that it is convenient for our grandparents to pick them up and drop them off."

For three consecutive days, hundreds of parents kept their children home from school and gathered at the school gate to protest the relocation.
Mrs. Nguyen Thi Lan (living in Hau village) has two grandchildren studying here and also shared: " I am old and cannot ride a bicycle or motorbike, I have to walk. Now taking my two grandchildren to the main school so far away is very difficult, especially on rainy and windy days, in the cold winter ."
Regarding this issue, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hien, Principal of Lien Chung Kindergarten, Phuc Hoa commune, said that the entire Hau village has 91 children, but currently only 13 children are studying at the new school, the remaining 78 children have not yet attended class.
“Before moving the school, we widely informed the people. However, many families still kept their views on letting their children study at the old school, even though the facilities were not guaranteed. We are continuing to promote and mobilize so that the children can study in better conditions ,” Ms. Hien said.

The kindergarten in Hau village, Phuc Hoa commune, Bac Ninh province shows signs of degradation.
According to the survey report of the school, the People's Committee of Phuc Hoa commune and the construction consultant, the classroom block at the Hau school was built in 2008 and now has a series of damages such as: cracked walls, leaky roof, old plastic ceiling, unevenly sunken floor. Some areas have collapsed.
The administrative area and the music room are combined in a building that shows signs of tilting and has a weak foundation. The playground system does not ensure adequate space, the surface is peeling, stagnant water, making it slippery. The entire electrical, water, toilet and kitchen systems are seriously degraded and do not meet technical and safety standards.
At the school gate area, there is a large transformer station without a protective fence and faint warning signs, posing a risk of electric shock and fire - especially during rush hours when there are many parents and students.

The new children's playground is invested synchronously and spaciously.
Mr. Pham Van Han, Chairman of the People's Committee of Phuc Hoa Commune, said that Lien Chung Kindergarten currently has 16 classes with 399 students. Previously, there were 6 classes at the Hau hamlet branch school with 163 students.
In 2024, the main school in Lan Tranh 1 village will be newly built with an area of 8,700m², meeting National standards level 2. The school has 15 solid classrooms, 10 functional rooms with full facilities to serve comprehensive skills education for children.
“The new area has full art, music, IT, physical education, library, and school health rooms. The kitchen system is designed in one direction, equipped with modern facilities, ensuring food hygiene and safety,” Mr. Han informed.

The new school's classrooms and functional rooms are modernly equipped, ensuring teaching and learning.
The school campus is invested synchronously with many play areas such as fairy garden, sand - gravel - water area, vegetable garden, folk game area, traffic playground... creating a lively learning environment.
“We cannot rest assured that our children will study in a place that is degraded and unsafe. Moving the school to the main campus is necessary and urgent to protect the lives, health and comprehensive development of the children,” Mr. Han emphasized.
