On May 9, members of the Vietnamese Women's Forum in Europe had a meeting with the President of the Global Women's Summit Irene Natividad and a business networking program with a delegation of female entrepreneurs from the Pioneering Women Leaders Network (WeLead) from Vietnam.
Also attending the meeting was Vietnamese Ambassador to Spain Doan Thanh Song.

Speaking at the program, Dr. Phan Bich Thien, President of the Vietnamese Women's Forum in Europe, highlighted the strong development of the Vietnamese women's movement in Europe in recent years. Many women's organizations, clubs, and networks have been established.
Dr. Phan Bich Thien said that Vietnamese women in Europe are increasingly integrating deeply into the host society, many of them have built large, prestigious businesses. Many are experts and lecturers at research institutions and universities, and some have entered politics.
In particular, after the first Vietnamese Women's Forum in Europe took place in Budapest in 2023, it created a wide connection between Vietnamese women in European countries.
Ms. Irene Natividad was pleased to welcome Vietnamese women to attend the Global Summit of Women 2024, and affirmed the important role of women in the economy as the theme of this year's event is "Women - Driving the Economy of the Future".
Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet Minh, President of WeLead, said that women are increasingly asserting their position and Vietnamese female entrepreneurs are making efforts to bring Vietnamese products to the world market.
The meeting between female entrepreneurs from Vietnam and delegates of the Vietnamese Women's Forum in Europe will open up cooperation opportunities for women to bring their products to this continent.
Within the framework of the event, a signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement between the Vietnamese Women's Forum in Europe and WeLead also took place.

Sharing with Vietnamese women attending the Conference, Ambassador Doan Thanh Song expressed his impression of the large number of Vietnamese women participating and believed that at the event, women will have many opportunities to meet and exchange with delegates from many other countries around the world.
The 2024 Global Summit of Women is attended by more than 1,000 delegates from nearly 70 countries around the world. According to Dr. Phan Bich Thien, the participation of members of the Vietnam Women's Forum is not only a testament to the solidarity of Vietnamese women in Europe but also affirms the goal of reaching out to connect with women around the world.
This is the first time a delegation of overseas Vietnamese women with 40 members from 8 European countries has attended the Global Women's Summit taking place in Madrid (Spain) from May 9-11.
