Women of Cua Viet commune: Promoting patriotic emulation movements

On October 14, 2025, the Women's Union of Cua Viet commune coordinated with Hoang Ha village to organize the groundbreaking ceremony of the project "Lighting up the community". This is a meaningful activity, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity and responsibility of the cadres and women's union members of Cua Viet commune in the emulation movement to build a bright-green-clean-beautiful residential area.

Mr. Tran Dang Bach, Secretary of Hoang Ha village Party Cell, excitedly said: “The Women's Union of Cua Viet commune has presented the village with the project “Lighting up the community” worth 15 million VND and 10 gifts for poor women. This practical activity has contributed to helping Hoang Ha village have more favorable conditions to create a safe and civilized landscape; helping people to classify waste at home, limit the use of plastic bags when going to the market and contribute to environmental protection, together with the locality to effectively implement the movement of building new rural areas”.

Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Cua Viet Commune, Le Thi Ngoc Anh, said that the Women's Union of Cua Viet Commune has 23 branches with 3,463 members. Over the past time, the union has always been proactive and active in innovating the content and methods of operation; creating conditions for women to promote their abilities in all fields. Women cadres and members always promote the tradition of solidarity, dynamism, creativity and enthusiastically participate in patriotic emulation movements.

In the economic field, women have promoted their role as an important and core workforce, building many highly effective economic models led by women, notably 25 economic models with revenue from 200-500 million VND/year.

On the other hand, female cadres and members in the commune also actively participate in the emulation movement "Building a new-age Cua Viet woman with knowledge, morality, health, patriotism, loyalty, responsibility for herself, her family and the community" associated with the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life"... Every year, 100% of residential areas achieve the title of cultural, 96% of households achieve the title of cultural family; 9 folk dance and sports clubs, 5 intergenerational self-help clubs, 18 models of education promotion are established.

In addition, women in Cua Viet commune also actively participate in the movement "All people protect national security", building effective models of crime prevention and social evils prevention. Over the past 5 years, in Cua Viet commune, 22 self-managed women's roads have been built; members and women voluntarily donated 5,098m2 of land and 2,545 working days to build inter-village roads; carried out 40 projects to light up rural roads; repaired bulletin boards, billboards, and propaganda posters with a total value of over 2 billion VND..., thereby contributing to creating a new look for the locality.

In addition to implementing well the programs and movements launched by the local government and women's unions at all levels, the spirit of "mutual love" is always promoted and spread by the cadres and women's union members of Cua Viet commune. “In October 2025, more than 3.5 hectares of rice of my family were flooded due to the impact of the storm. When I was worried because I had no plan to harvest the rice, suddenly many cadres and women's union members of Nhi Ha village enthusiastically came to help. Since then, I have more confidence in the "common roof" of the women's union and the solidarity and sharing of women in all circumstances," Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Huyen, in Nhi Ha village, emotionally said.

“In the period of 2021-2025, promoting the fine traditions of Vietnamese women, cadres and women's union members of Cua Viet commune have enthusiastically participated in the patriotic emulation movement, actively studied, been dynamic and creative in production and labor, effectively contributing to economic development, poverty reduction, social security, building and defending the Fatherland. The role and position of women in the family and society are increasingly affirmed; the material and spiritual life of women has gradually improved,” said Le Thi Ngoc Anh, President of the Women's Union of Cua Viet commune.

Over the years, the Women's Union of Cua Viet commune has made many contributions to social security work, notably supporting women and children in difficult circumstances. There have been many creative ways such as: Establishing and maintaining the effective operation of 22 scrap metal fundraising models, 9 models of women helping each other develop the economy and dozens of rice savings jars; long-term sponsorship for 17 orphans...

Women's associations at all levels also support trees, animal breeds and sponsor disadvantaged women, give scholarships, bicycles and school supplies to students; actively participate in the gratitude movement in the locality; support hundreds of gifts for people in the North affected by natural disasters; donate and support the people of Cuba...

According to the President of the Women's Union of Cua Viet Commune, Le Thi Ngoc Anh, from the achieved results, the Women's Union of Cua Viet Commune strives to continue to fulfill the goal of building a strong and comprehensive union organization, a solid support for female cadres and members; building a team of cadres with courage, dedication, close to the locality, firmly grasping the members, understanding women; promoting the autonomy, spirit of innovation, creativity, aspiration to rise up and contribute more of female members, thereby having more positive contributions in all aspects, contributing to the rapid and sustainable development of the locality".
