Phu Yen will have a complete and synchronous traffic infrastructure system.

In the future, Phu Yen will have a full range of diverse and modern transport infrastructure systems, creating synchronous connections with neighboring localities and the whole country.

In the Phu Yen Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, recently approved by the Prime Minister , the spatial arrangement plan for important projects and works, and national traffic works is clearly defined.

Regarding road infrastructure, Phu Yen has the North-South Eastern Expressway (CT.01) with a length of 2,063 km, the segments passing through Phu Yen include: Quy Nhon (Binh Dinh) - Chi Thanh (Phu Yen) with a length of 42.07 km, with a scale of 6 lanes; Chi Thanh (Phu Yen) - Van Phong ( Khanh Hoa ) with a length of 48.052 km, with a scale of 6 lanes; Deo Ca Tunnel (Phu Yen - Khanh Hoa) with a length of 14 km, with a scale of 6 lanes.

Besides, there is a coastal road section through Phu Yen province with the starting point at Phu Hoa Petroleum Depot - the border of Binh Dinh and Phu Yen provinces, the ending point at Bai Chua - north of the Deo Ca road tunnel, length 128 km.

In the future, there will be 6 national highway sections in Phu Yen province that will be upgraded, constructed, maintained, and repaired, including: National Highway 1, National Highway 1D, National Highway 25, National Highway 29, National Highway 19C, Truong Son Dong Road. New investment in National Highway 19E according to the approved planning.

Regarding railway infrastructure, including the Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City railway line. Accordingly, this line will be upgraded, gradually modernizing the existing North - South railway line to achieve an average train speed of 80-90 km/h for passenger trains and 50-60 km/h for freight trains, in the implementation period of 2021-2030.

Regarding the high-speed railway, according to the plan, this route will be newly built high-speed railway on the North-South axis, Vinh - Nha Trang section in the period after 2030.

In addition, the railway line running along the Central Highlands is currently being researched and built, combined with the Ho Chi Minh route and the highway to form a technical axis as an important basis for developing major economic centers of the entire region and forming new specialized centers after 2030.

Regarding airport infrastructure, according to Decision No. 648/QD-TTg dated June 7, 2023 of the Prime Minister on the master plan for the development of the national airport system in the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050, Tuy Hoa airport in Phu Yen province is a 4C domestic airport with an expected design capacity of 3 million passengers/year by 2030 and 5 million passengers/year by 2050.

Regarding seaport infrastructure, according to the Vietnam seaport planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, Phu Yen seaport belongs to seaport group 3 including the following wharf areas: Vung Ro wharf area; Bai Goc - Dong Hoa wharf area.

According to the People's Committee of Phu Yen province, the plan to connect the province's infrastructure with the national and regional infrastructure system will be to mobilize resources to prioritize investment in synchronous and modern transport infrastructure connecting with provinces in the region and the whole country, creating conditions for connection, cooperation, promoting economic, cultural and social exchanges. Synchronously connecting the transport system with coastal economic zones, industrial parks, high-tech parks and airports and seaports.

Focus on investing in completing the eastern section of the North-South expressway to connect all localities in the region, investing in completing the provincial and district road system and rural transport system.

The plan also identifies the plan to develop and connect the national transport network through Phu Yen province, which is to invest in upgrading and expanding to ensure standards for national highways (QL1D, QL25, QL29, QL19C, Truong Son Dong Road and QL19E connecting to Gia Lai, coastal road), expressways (CT01, CT23); railways and waterways are implemented according to national sector planning approved by competent authorities.

At the same time, Phu Yen will also upgrade and build a provincial road system connecting expressways and national roads to economic zones, tourist areas, key services, roads to industrial zones and clusters, creating a complete road network, linking modes of transport, between urban and rural areas, reaching at least level III - IV, with a scale of 2 - 4 lanes.

In addition, for coastal roads, the routes will be formed on the basis of making the most of existing routes, combining new construction, minimum scale of level III - IV and urban roads, 2 - 6 lanes.
