On October 26, information from the Office of the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province said that the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has just issued a decision approving the receipt of non-refundable aid not included in official development assistance for the project "Restoring livelihoods after COVID-19 for female farmers in extremely disadvantaged communes and disadvantaged communes in Thua Thien Hue province".
The project is sponsored by Stichting Oxfam Novib (Netherlands), with a total value of more than 4.9 billion VND.

The project aims to support poor and near-poor female farmers (priority given to people with disabilities, ethnic minorities in extremely disadvantaged communes and disadvantaged communes) in Phu Vang, Phu Loc, Phong Dien districts (TT-Hue) affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Thereby, helping them recover and improve their livelihood development capabilities.
The project sponsor will support the assessment of training needs, technical training and livelihood restoration of female farmers; organize training courses, technical training on livelihood restoration for 1,500 female farmers selected based on the project's selection criteria.
Cash-based livelihood restoration support for 1,000 female farmers identified based on project selection criteria. Organizing workshops for experience sharing, communication, project monitoring and evaluation.
