Restoring livelihoods after the COVID-19 pandemic for female farmers in extremely disadvantaged communes of TT-Hue

On October 26, information from the Office of the People's Committee of TT- Hue province said that the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has just issued a decision approving the receipt of non-refundable aid not belonging to official development assistance for the project "Restoring livelihoods after COVID-19 for female farmers in extremely difficult communes and difficult communes in TT-Hue province".

The project is sponsored by Stichting Oxfam Novib (Netherlands), with a total value of more than 4.9 billion VND.

Female ethnic minority farmers in TT-Hue participate in production development and livelihood improvement.

The project aims to support poor and near-poor female farmers (priority given to people with disabilities, ethnic minorities in extremely disadvantaged communes and disadvantaged communes) in Phu Vang, Phu Loc, Phong Dien districts (TT-Hue) affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Thereby, helping them recover and improve their livelihood development capacity.

The project sponsor will support the assessment of training needs, technical training and livelihood restoration of female farmers; organize training courses, technical training on livelihood restoration for 1,500 female farmers selected based on the project's selection criteria.

Cash livelihood restoration support for 1,000 women farmers identified based on project selection criteria. Organizing workshops for experience sharing, communication, project monitoring and evaluation.
