With the theme “Colors of Bhnong culture - integration and development”, the festival takes place from July 19-21 with many unique and attractive contents, including traditional rituals, antiphonal singing, sports , and unique cultural products of the land and people of Bhnong Phuoc Son.

In preparation for the festival, Phuoc Nang commune selected about 80 athletes, artisans and actors. Despite the unfavorable weather, the team members were very enthusiastic, eager to practice, supporting and guiding each movement to be smooth.

Being able to participate in the big festival, everyone is excited and promotes the spirit of solidarity, wishing to contribute with the district to introduce and promote the unique cultural values of their people to friends and tourists from near and far.

Mr. Duong Cong Chung, a cultural officer of Phuoc Nang commune, said: "The past few days have been erratic with rain and wind, but we have tried to focus on practicing, even at night or early in the morning. We are very happy that people have responded enthusiastically to practice in large numbers. We continue to exploit the most difficult content in cultural preservation work, what has been lost, trying to find the folk songs and customs left by the ancients, thereby filtering the best for everyone to practice, hoping to preserve them for future generations."

In recent days, temporarily putting aside their farming work, members of the art troupe of Phuoc My commune have also taken the opportunity to practice, even at night.

This year, the festival was held in the summer, so Phuoc My commune had many children participating in practicing, dancing with gongs, and performing fashion shows . The older artisans meticulously adjusted the way they held and played the gongs to create high and low sounds, everyone eagerly waiting for the day to perform.

According to records, each locality chooses different ways of performing arts and reenacting traditional rituals such as celebrating new rice, worshiping and eating on the 5th day of the lunar month, wedding ceremonies, worshiping land to establish a village, exorcising evil spirits... Everyone hopes to bring to the festival the most unique and quintessential cultural features of their people.

Mr. Nguyen The Tho - Head of the Department of Culture and Information of Phuoc Son district said: "The Department of Culture coordinates with the district's Center for Culture, Sports and Information to deploy the contents and prepare facilities and equipment to ensure the organization of the festival. Provide propaganda instructions to localities and focus on directing and guiding communes to practice, restore rituals, ceremonies, practice mass art programs, recreate traditional cuisine , traditional crafts... Up to now, the communes have practiced quite carefully".

“Up to this point, all preparations have been basically completed, and localities and sectors have followed the assigned content and tasks, especially the timelines for implementation.

The new point this year compared to the first time held in 2023 is the organization of exhibitions of OCOP products, agricultural products as well as local cuisine.

During this festival, localities must recreate traditional cultural rituals of the Bhnong people that are at risk of disappearing in recent times.

At the same time, we will organize two nights of gong parades combined with street competitions, this is a new feature to serve tourists as well as audiences to visit and enjoy the typical cultural products of the Bhnong people" - Mr. Ho Cong Diem, Vice Chairman of Phuoc Son District People's Committee added.

The 2024 Bhnong Traditional Cultural Festival of Phuoc Son District is a practical cultural activity that creates a joyful, exciting atmosphere, encouraging and motivating cadres and people in the district to compete in work and production, and is an opportunity to promote and introduce the beauty of the land, people and changes of Phuoc Son homeland.
