
On April 20 and 21, 17 wards in Dong Da district simultaneously collected voters' opinions on the plan to arrange grassroots administrative units.
According to the plan to rearrange grassroots administrative units in Dong Da district, after the rearrangement, 17 wards will be reduced to 5 grassroots administrative units, including: Dong Da, Lang, O Cho Dua, Kim Lien, Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam.


Immediately after Dong Da People's Committee issued guidelines for organizing public consultation and approved the District People's Council on the Project on rearranging ward-level administrative units in the district, the wards posted documents to serve the public consultation on the electronic information page of the Ward People's Committee; posted at the Ward People's Committee headquarters; community activity points and propagated and disseminated on local mass media, at conferences, village meetings, and residential groups. According to the reporter, the process of collecting voters' opinions is taking place actively in all wards. In Quang Trung ward, Chairman of the Ward People's Committee Hua Thi Xuan Lien said: "Quang Trung ward has 13 groups to collect opinions. Currently, 3,300 ballots have been issued corresponding to voters, representing 3,300 households. The work of collecting opinions is being deployed to each household. The situation of collecting opinions at the residential groups has a very high preliminary support rate."
Directly distributing ballots to each household, Head of Residential Group No. 3, Quang Trung Ward, Nguyen Van Tien, said: “Our group has more than 300 households. The area is large, so we mobilized security and order comrades to participate, striving to complete the collection of opinions by the end of today, April 20. Some households are away, we have also called to invite them to collect their opinions.”
In O Cho Dua ward, Chairman of the Ward People's Committee Hoang Hoai Loan shared, "Up to now, the ward has deployed 38/38 teams to collect voters' opinions in the area. Currently, 15/38 teams have been completed. The remaining teams are continuing to deploy, reaching 75%. Most people agree and highly agree with the plan to arrange grassroots administrative units."

In Lang Thuong ward, by 9:30 a.m. on April 29, 32/32 residential groups had been deployed; 95% of households in the ward had received opinions. Of these, 21/32 groups had completed the project, reaching 100% consensus. Kim Lien ward had also received opinions from 22/22 residential groups, reaching 95%, without encountering any difficulties or problems during the implementation process.
Ms. Nguyen Thi To Nga (Lang Ha street) expressed: “Our ward will have a new name, Lang ward. I think that merging to streamline the apparatus is necessary, but we must do it in a way that does not cause difficulties for the people, especially the elderly and those with difficulty moving around.”

According to preliminary statistics from the Dong Da District People's Committee, the entire district has collected more than 80% of people's opinions. According to the plan, on April 21, the People's Committees of the wards of Dong Da District will complete collecting people's opinions.
The District People's Committee will synthesize public opinions and approve the policy to implement the plan to arrange commune-level administrative units to synthesize the results and report to the City People's Committee before April 26, 2025.
