Care for children of union members and workers

Along with the work of representing, caring for the lives, protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers, in recent years, the Trade Unions at all levels in the province have actively promoted activities to care for the children of union members and workers. Thereby, contributing to encouraging and motivating the children in their studies and lives, while at the same time helping union members and workers feel secure in their work, production, and attachment to the Trade Union organization and enterprises.

The Trade Union of Nice Power Giao Thuy Company Limited organized a gift giving ceremony for children of workers on the occasion of International Children's Day (June 1) in 2025.

To concretize the policy of the superior Trade Union on caring for and taking care of children of workers, every year the Provincial Federation of Labor regularly directs and coordinates with trade unions at all levels, especially trade union organizations in enterprises, to promote propaganda work, raise awareness of workers and employers about the regime and policies related to the care and protection of children, especially children in families of workers in difficult circumstances, children with disabilities, orphans; coordinate with relevant agencies such as Nam Dinh University of Nursing, Ministry of Health ... to organize training courses, disseminate policies on care, nurturing, and protection of children; first aid methods in cases that frequently occur in young children; organize activities to visit and give gifts; organize forums and playgrounds for children on the occasion of International Children's Day, Mid-Autumn Festival, and Vietnamese Family Day; Giving gifts to children of workers who are leaving for military service, rewarding children with high achievements in studying; organizing emulation movements, especially the emulation movement "Good at public work, good at housework" among female workers... Since the beginning of the year, trade unions at all levels in the province have organized hundreds of conferences and seminars to disseminate laws to thousands of union members and workers on legal contents on child protection, prevention of domestic violence against children, and methods of raising children; many thematic conferences held on International Women's Day (March 8) for female workers with children of minor and young age to help mothers better understand the development process of their children, accompany their children in thinking and perception, help their children overcome psychological and physiological difficulties of their age so that they can develop comprehensively; organizing meetings, encouraging and giving gifts with a total value of hundreds of millions of VND to more than 500 union members and children of union members leaving for military service. On the occasion of Children's Day and in response to the Month of Action for Children in 2025, the Provincial Federation of Labor has developed a plan to organize visits and give away physical training equipment and indoor toys to children at Hop Hung Kindergarten under the Vu Ban District Federation of Labor and Yen Nghia Kindergarten under the Y Yen District Federation of Labor with a total value of nearly 50 million VND. On the occasion of International Women's Day (March 8) and International Day of Happiness (March 20), the Provincial Federation of Labor has directed and coordinated with the Federations of Labor of districts, cities, and industry unions to organize conferences to propagate policies on female workers, methods of caring for newborns, educating minors, youth, and girls... In which, the Provincial Federation of Labor has organized conferences to propagate labor laws and policies, policies for female workers, and methods of caring for and protecting children for 150 female workers of Nam Ha Mechanical and Trading Joint Stock Company (Nghia Hung) and coordinated with the Company to give 170 gifts, totaling more than 32 million VND... In addition, every year, the Federations of Labor of districts and cities coordinate with school unions to organize propaganda and education on life skills, safe traffic participation, build a model of "Safe School Gate", methods to recognize signs of law violations, social evils, and other social evils. drug abuse, school violence; organize swimming classes, prevent drowning for students...

To strengthen activities to care for children of union members and workers, trade unions at all levels in the province have actively responded to the emulation movement: "Good at public work, good at housework" associated with the emulation movement "Women actively study, work creatively, build happy families". From the beginning of 2025 to now, especially on the occasion of International Women's Day (March 8), many trade unions have organized activities for female workers, integrating contents on methods of raising and educating children, preventing and combating sexual abuse in children, sexeducation , life skills for children, reproductive health issues, policies for female workers, training in women's work for thousands of female union members and workers... Typical examples are the Labor Federations of the districts: Giao Thuy, Hai Hau, Xuan Truong, Trade Unions of industrial parks in the province. Many trade unions have coordinated with enterprises to celebrate Children's Day, giving gifts to children of union members and workers; Typically, Nice Power Company Limited (Giao Thuy) organized a Children's Day program for workers' children to participate in folk games such as: tug of war, lemon passing, blindfolded ball hitting, throwing balls into the basket... and gave prizes to the children with a value of nearly 30 million VND; The Trade Union of Padmac Vietnam Company Limited, Bao Minh Industrial Park (Vu Ban) coordinated with experts to organize gifts for nearly 1,400 children of union members and workers with a total value of more than 70 million VND...

With specific and practical activities to care for the children of union members and workers, the Trade Unions at all levels in the province have raised the awareness and consciousness of union members and workers in caring for and educating children to develop both physically and mentally. In the coming time, the Trade Unions at all levels in the province will continue to promote activities to care for the children of workers, fulfill the role of the Trade Union organization to actively join hands to care for, educate and nurture the younger generation, create motivation and encourage union members and workers to actively work and produce, contributing to the cause of industrialization and modernization of the country.
