The automatic environmental monitoring station at Thai Yen Industrial Park, Duc Thinh Commune was invested and built in 2018 with a total cost of more than 5 billion VND. Every hour, the system automatically collects and stores hundreds of data on the quality of wastewater after treatment.
When detecting environmental parameters exceeding the threshold, the station will automatically save samples and issue warnings, helping the operating unit promptly adjust the treatment process, limiting the risk of environmental pollution.
Mr. Phan Cong Hoan - Director of Thai Yen Industrial Cluster, Duc Thinh Commune, Ha Tinh Province said: "When an incident is detected, the system will send a warning to the control center, from which the control staff will regulate this wastewater through the incident lake to ensure no discharge into the environment."

Not only in industrial clusters but also in many factories and production facilities in the province, automatic monitoring systems are installed to control wastewater quality. For example, at Saigon - Ha Tinh Brewery, the automatic monitoring system is invested quite systematically, with cameras to monitor wastewater sources, incident treatment ponds, etc.
In particular, the sensor system at the measuring station regularly collects data on air quality, wastewater, surface water, etc. and then transmits it directly to the monitoring center . According to Mr. Le Hoai Chuyen - wastewater treatment system manager, Saigon - Ha Tinh Brewery, the automatic monitoring system helps the unit control wastewater quality well, reducing labor. If in the past, the unit had to arrange 3-4 people to operate the wastewater treatment system, now he alone can handle the entire job.

Ha Tinh currently has 50 automatic monitoring stations installed in industrial clusters, small-scale industries and factories. Of these, about 43 stations have been put into operation, transmitting data directly to the monitoring center of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Ha Tinh.
From the numbers sent back continuously, the Monitoring Center can control the environmental quality of discharge points in the area. The system not only helps save manpower and time, but also increases transparency in environmental management.
Mr. Nguyen Dinh Nam - Deputy Director of the Ha Tinh Center for Natural Resources and Environment Monitoring said: "In the coming time, the center will coordinate with local authorities, business owners and management boards of industrial parks and clusters to synchronously deploy and ensure environmental control in these areas."

Early warnings from automatic monitoring data have helped production facilities and management agencies detect and promptly handle many cases of waste discharge exceeding standards, protecting the living environment for the community. This is a useful solution for sustainable development, harmonizing production and environmental protection./.
