Hai An District Party Committee commends and rewards collectives and individuals for achievements in the 2024 Political Contest to Protect the Party's Ideological Foundation

(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the morning of August 28, Hai An District Party Committee held a conference to summarize the Political Contest on protecting the Party's ideological foundation; fighting and refuting wrong and hostile views in 2024.

Attending the Conference were comrades: Dr. Nguyen Kim Pha, Principal of To Hieu Political School; Nguyen Van Hieu, Deputy Head of the Propaganda Department of the City Party Committee; Nguyen Anh Tuan, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee. Together with leaders of the Party Building Committees, comrades Secretaries of the Party Cells and Party Committees under the District Party Committee; collectives and individuals were commended and awarded.

Collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements participating in the 2024 Political Contest will be rewarded.

Responding to the 2024 Political Contest on "Protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile views" organized and launched by the Central and the city. Hai An District Party Committee always identifies the meaning and importance in social life of the work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile views in the new situation. Accordingly, Hai An District Party Committee launched the Contest to all key cadres, affiliated Party organizations, departments, agencies, unions and units of the district.

After 4 years of implementation, the Contest has helped protect the Party's ideological foundation, fight against wrong and hostile views, becoming a regular task of each Party committee and organization, attracting a large number of cadres, Party members, members, and union members to participate. With its wide spread, the Contest has received more than 2,800 entries from units, 5 times more than in 2023. The entries were assessed to be of high quality, diverse in types of works, and carefully invested; participants were of many ages and occupations, from veteran Party members to students still in school. As a result, the Organizing Committee selected 85 works, including 25 type A works and 60 type B works, of which 25 were submitted to the city competition and 2 won prizes.

On this occasion, the Chairman of Hai An District People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 03 collectives and 03 individuals; Hai An District Party Committee, Steering Committee 35 commended 10 collectives and 25 individuals with outstanding works participating in the 4th Political Contest on protecting the Party's ideological foundation in 2024. At the same time, the title "Outstanding Face of Hai Phong City in 2023" was awarded to comrade Tran Tien Dung - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sao A DC Company, Chairman of Hai An District Business Association.

Speaking at the Conference, Comrade Nguyen Anh Tuan, Standing Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, acknowledged and commended the agencies, units, localities, authors and groups of authors who actively participated in the Contest. In order for the Contest to continue to be highly effective in the coming years, Comrade Standing Deputy Secretary of the Hai An District Party Committee requested that grassroots Party organizations, each cadre and Party member continue to inform, propagate and disseminate the results of the Contest. Accordingly, encourage and disseminate good models and good experiences in localities, agencies and units in the work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against wrong and distorted views of reactionary forces and political opportunists. In particular, each Party organization and unit needs to grasp the ideological situation and public opinion among cadres, Party members and people of all walks of life. Regularly grasp and promptly monitor information and events related to political security, social order and safety, and implement projects in the area to improve forecasting, promptly detect and orient information on inappropriate and pressing issues in society and in the locality, not allowing hostile forces to take advantage of distortion, incite complaints and protests causing political and social instability; continue to introduce new factors, advanced models, good people and good deeds; implement the motto "use beauty to eliminate ugliness"; raise vigilance, do not participate in negative comments or share bad and toxic information on cyberspace.

At the Conference, Comrade Nguyen Van Hieu, Deputy Head of the City Party Committee's Propaganda Department, informed and disseminated the results of 5 years of implementing Resolution 45 dated January 24, 2019 of the Politburo on building and developing Hai Phong city to 2030, with a vision to 2045./.
