With the national morality of "When drinking water, remember its source", in the dry season of 2023 - 2024, officers and staff of the 589th Martyrs' Grave Collection Team (Quang Binh Provincial Military Command) searched for and recovered 16 martyrs' remains from Laos and brought them back to their homeland, Vietnam. All of the martyrs' remains collected this time have not yet been identified by name and hometown.

In a solemn atmosphere, delegates respectfully offered incense and flowers with sincere hearts, sorrow and infinite gratitude to the heroic martyrs who heroically sacrificed in the national liberation wars of Vietnam and Laos.

Delivering the eulogy at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Quang Binh Provincial People's Committee Hoang Xuan Tan emphasized that during the resistance wars of the two peoples of Vietnam and Laos, tens of thousands of Vietnamese youths set out for the noble international mission, fighting side by side with the army and people of the Lao ethnic groups to bravely fight against the common enemy. Countless Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts heroically sacrificed and devoted their entire youth to the national independence and happiness of the people of the two countries, building the special, pure, and loyal solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and Laos.
