| Representatives from the Social Policy Bank of Thai Nguyen province and four socio -political organizations signed a joint document on coordinating the implementation of entrusted lending activities for poor households and other policy beneficiaries. |
In the first six months of the year, entrusted lending activities through associations and organizations continued to achieve positive results. The total outstanding entrusted loans reached over 8,822 billion VND, accounting for nearly 99% of the total outstanding loans of the Social Policy Bank (SPB) of the province. These associations and organizations maintained high loan balances and a large number of borrowing households, making a significant contribution to the timely delivery of preferential credit capital to the people.
Currently, the province has 3,889 savings and loan groups operating at 273 commune-level transaction points. This network plays a crucial role as an "extended arm" between the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies (VBSP) and borrowers, helping to ensure transparency in the State's credit policies, improving capital management quality, and building public trust in social security policies.
Besides the achievements, the Conference also frankly pointed out limitations such as: The rate of overdue and non-performing loans remains high compared to the end of 2024; some credit programs such as clean water loans and job creation have not met the capital needs; some heads of savings and loan groups are still not proficient in using the management software, affecting the progress of debt and interest collection...
| The leader of the Provincial Veterans Association delivered a speech at the conference. |
To address the aforementioned shortcomings, in the third quarter, the Provincial Social Policy Bank and its affiliated organizations will continue to strengthen propaganda efforts, consolidate and improve the quality of operations of savings and loan groups; review and handle bad debts, especially in cases where borrowers have left their place of residence; strengthen debt reconciliation and classification, improve the capacity of entrusted staff, and strive to successfully complete the 2025 plan.
Also within the framework of the Conference, the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies (VBSP) of Thai Nguyen province and four socio-political organizations signed a joint document on organizing and directing subordinate units to coordinate the implementation of entrusted lending activities for poor households and other policy beneficiaries. The signing aims to further strengthen the coordination mechanism and improve the effectiveness of entrusted lending in the coming period.
