According to the plan, Quang Nam province will organize the socio-economic activity space according to the structural model of "2 regions, 2 dynamic clusters, 3 development corridors". Specifically, the eastern region includes districts, towns, and coastal plain cities. Of which, Tam Ky is the central urban area of administration, economy, education, and training; Hoi An is an ecological - cultural - tourist urban area, international exchange with unique products of cultural depth; Dien Ban is an urban area developing industry, science, and innovation.

The western region includes mountainous districts that preserve natural forest ecosystems; develop national forest and medicinal material areas; garden, farm, and livestock economies ; exploit hydropower and minerals; protect border areas, etc.

By 2030, Quang Nam aims to attract more than 15 million tourists, including about 8 million international visitors and 7 million domestic visitors. The province is oriented to become an international-class tourism center based on maximizing the value of the world cultural heritages of Hoi An, My Son, Cu Lao Cham biosphere reserve, etc. Notably, Quang Nam strives to become a centrally-governed city by 2050.
Regarding planning and implementation, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang emphasized: "Quang Nam needs to comply with the planning, and at the same time be flexible in its approach. For goals that do not have core values, changes can be proposed. Planning must be implemented with a plan that is consistent with the national and regional planning. We must understand each other, businesses and people must understand the government to achieve common goals and correct inappropriate content."
On this occasion, Quang Nam province granted investment approval decisions, investment registration certificates, and investment location research agreements to 10 investors for 16 projects in the province with a total registered capital of nearly VND20,000 billion. Of which, Thaco Truong Hai Group was granted investment registration certificates for 7 projects in the industrial sector of its member companies, with a total capital of more than VND3,900 billion.
