Quang Nam first met 3,700 village cadres

Kinhtedothi - Chairman of Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung highly appreciated the silent but meaningful contributions of village and residential group cadres in the local socio-economic development.

On the morning of January 17, Quang Nam organized a meeting with Party cell secretaries, village chiefs, heads of residential groups, and heads of village/residential group front work committees on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025 and the 50th anniversary of Quang Nam Province Liberation Day (March 24, 1975 - March 24, 2025).

The meeting was held directly at the provincial bridge point and online to the district bridge point with the participation of more than 3,700 village and residential group officials.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Le Van Dung, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Nam province, emphasized that the team of village and residential group officials are close to the people and the local reality. Therefore, the working process makes it easy to grasp the thoughts and aspirations of the people, especially convenient to communicate and act as a bridge in terms of information and propaganda. Not to mention, there are people who have worked and contributed for up to 15-20 years.

“In recent times, the team of village and residential group cadres has successfully and excellently completed the assigned key tasks. The provincial leaders always acknowledge and are grateful for those great and meaningful contributions. These are all examples of diligence and respect,” Mr. Dung shared.

As the head of village 3, Tra Don commune (Nam Tra My district), Mr. Ho Van Nui said that the area has 8 small residential areas, living along the mountain slopes. Due to the steep terrain, combined with complex weather conditions, landslides often occur, affecting production and the lives of people in the mountainous areas. He and his fellow villagers have implemented many proactive response measures combined with propaganda. These include regularly holding village and residential area meetings to remind people to promptly detect changes and cracking phenomena. For affected families, relocation and rebuilding of houses should be organized soon so that households can have a stable life.

“Through the campaign, many households and families not only joined hands to share the difficulties but also voluntarily donated land, agreed to relocate and rebuild their houses. The locality gradually promoted the spirit of solidarity and supported the affected families,” Mr. Nui shared.

On this occasion, the People's Committee of Quang Nam province awarded Certificates of Merit to 240 village and residential group officials for their outstanding achievements, contributing to socio-economic development, maintaining political stability, security and order in the area in recent times.

Currently, many localities in the province are doing a good job of arranging concurrent positions, thereby contributing to streamlining the apparatus and improving the quality and efficiency of village and residential group operations. The quality of the team of people working in the province's villages and residential groups is increasingly improved. The whole province has 1,240 village and residential group Party cells with more than 38,500 active Party members.
