Quang Ngai proposes to support 2,350 billion VND to upgrade National Highway 24

(QNgTV)- The Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province has just sent a document to the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Construction regarding the central budget support for the locality to invest in upgrading and expanding National Highway 24, the main route connecting the eastern and western regions of Quang Ngai province.

Route from Quang Ngai to Kon Tum

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province proposed that the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Construction consider and report to the Prime Minister for approval to support 2,350 billion VND from the central budget in addition to the medium-term public investment plan for the period 2026 - 2030. In the immediate future, to promptly ensure the needs of travel, trade and transportation, the province proposed that the central government support 1,150 billion VND in 2025. Quang Ngai province is determined to implement and complete the project in 2027 (if approved by the central government).

National Highway 24 has a total length of 165km, of which nearly 58km has not been invested in from Ba To commune to Kon Plong commune. It is a small, narrow, winding level 4 or 5 road with many sharp turns and dangerous deep abysses.
