Quang Ngai aims to develop second-class football and professional football

After the two provinces of Quang Ngai and Kon Tum merged into Quang Ngai province, Kon Tum Football Club was renamed Quang Ngai Football Club with the consent of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in Official Dispatch No. 894/SVHTTDL-QLTDTT dated September 4, 2025.

Quang Ngai Football Club participates in the 2025 National Second Division Football Tournament in Group B from April 11 to June 22, 2025 with a total of 14 matches. Qualified to stay in the league and continue to participate in the 2026 National Second Division Football Tournament.

According to Director of Kon Tum Sports Joint Stock Company Ha Van Hung, in 2026, the club will continue to compete in the National Second Division Football Tournament. The club will complete the construction of the team management board to ensure effective operation of the team. Continue to negotiate with relevant partners to support coaches and players to ensure effective competition (remain in the league).

The team will compete and practice at Quang Ngai Stadium, facility 1, Nghia Lo Ward. For good practice, the Club recommends that the field surface be renovated due to the presence of a lot of grass and bushes; functional rooms such as: technical meeting room, reception room and team room are fully arranged.

The club also proposed the Provincial People's Committee to direct the handover of the field and functional rooms to the club; ensure electricity, health care, security and order at home matches. Call on businesses to sponsor funds and promote the training of young players, prioritizing children from Quang Ngai.
