Quang Ngai spends more than 3,100 billion VND for more than 3,800 retired officials

Quang Ngai province has spent more than 3,126 billion VND to support more than 3,800 officials, civil servants, public employees and part-time workers who have quit their jobs under the regime.

On October 16, the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province announced that it had spent more than VND3,100 billion to support more than 3,800 officials, civil servants, public employees, and non-professional workers to retire under the regime in order to streamline the apparatus.

Quang Ngai has been vigorously implementing the policy of streamlining the apparatus since 2024, associated with the implementation of the two-level local government model in the spirit of the Central Resolution. This is considered one of the important steps to build an effective administrative apparatus, streamline the payroll, and improve the quality of service to the people.

According to the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province, up to now, the province has resolved policies and regimes for more than 2,800 officials, civil servants and public employees who have retired according to Decrees 178 and 67 of the Government, with a total payment of more than 2,900 billion VND.

In addition, the province also spent more than 226 billion VND for more than 1,000 part-time workers at the commune level according to Decree 154 of the Government.

The representative of the Provincial People's Committee said that, up to this point, Quang Ngai has basically completed the arrangement and consolidation of the two-level government apparatus. The work of appointment, transfer, secondment and personnel arrangement has been implemented synchronously, ensuring inheritance and stability.

The province has also established working groups at the provincial, department and sector levels to promptly remove obstacles in the implementation process at the grassroots level.

Despite some difficulties in the transition period, the two-level government model has initially operated stably, ensuring continuous, smooth and effective administrative activities.

Through the initial inspections, the team of cadres, civil servants and public employees at all levels demonstrated a sense of responsibility and a positive attitude in serving the people, contributing to building a political system in the direction of "streamlining - compactness - strength - efficiency - effectiveness - efficiency".

Notably, the administrative procedure settlement work continues to maintain good service quality for people and businesses. In the first 9 months of 2025, the whole province received about 108,000 records, of which 98,000 records were settled on time and before the deadline, reaching a rate of 98%.

On the National Public Service Portal, Quang Ngai ranked 8th out of 34 provinces and cities, with 83.4 points, in the "good" group in terms of direction, administration and service quality index.

At the commune level, from July 1 to now, 96 communes, wards and special zones in the province have received more than 127,000 applications, with a processing rate of 98.8% on time. Notably, more than 70% of applications were submitted online, showing a strong shift in digital transformation and administrative reform at the local level.
