The People's Committee of Quang Ngai province plans to start construction of four inter-level boarding schools in the border communes of Duc Nong, Mo Rai, Sa Loong and Ro Koi at the end of November this year.

On October 15, news from the Office of the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province said that the province plans to start construction of four inter-level boarding schools in the border communes of Duc Nong, Mo Rai, Sa Loong and Ro Koi at the end of November. Accordingly, the total investment is more than 600 billion VND, of which about 117 billion VND will be allocated in 2025.

According to Ms. Y Ngoc, Standing Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province, when inspecting the 9 border communes, the province agreed to invest in the first phase for the 4 communes mentioned above, including building 2 new schools and repairing and upgrading 2 schools. The remaining 5 communes, Bo Y, Ia Toi, Dak Plo, Dak Long and Ia Dal, will be proposed to the Central Government for consideration in the next phase.

According to a leader of the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province, the units proposed the tentative plan, the assigned localities must proactively implement each part of the work, especially the work of site clearance, contractor selection and human resource preparation. According to this leader, this is a key project, which needs to be implemented urgently, and the planning, procedure and construction steps can be carried out in parallel to ensure progress.

According to the Department of Education and Training of Quang Ngai province, the survey, arrangement of land and temporary learning places for students during the repair period is a big difficulty. Therefore, the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province soon issued a resolution, established a steering committee to build an inter-level school and selected an investor with sufficient capacity to manage the project.

Mr. Nguyen Hoang Giang, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province, requested local authorities to proactively coordinate and approach the planning area to soon complete compensation and site clearance work, ensuring timely commencement of construction. The investor must select a capable and experienced contractor to complete the construction to meet the requirements of progress, quality and aesthetics, helping students in border areas have a spacious and safe learning environment.

According to the plan, the projects will be designed in an "open" direction, suitable for the cultural characteristics, terrain and climate of each region; prioritizing trees, preserving natural landscapes and ensuring full functionality of the inter-level boarding school. The area of ​​each school is expected to be from 5 - 10 hectares, which can be flexibly adjusted depending on the actual conditions of each locality.

Accordingly, the border communes of Duc Nong, Mo Rai, Sa Loong and Ro Koi will complete compensation and hand over the site before October 31; the project will be approved to start construction before November 30 and completed and handed over before August 30, 2026.
