This session is particularly meaningful as the 21 member countries of the World Heritage Committee will consider nominating about 30 new heritages to be inscribed on the World Heritage List and expanding 2 heritages already on the list.

In particular, the conservation status of some Vietnamese heritages will be reviewed, such as Ha Long Bay, Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Trang An - Ninh Binh and Phong Nha - Ke Bang of Quang Tri province.

At the same time, consider the nomination dossier for the Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac relic and landscape complex as a world heritage and consider inscribing Hin Nam No National Park Heritage, Khammouane Province, Lao People's Democratic Republic as an extension of the Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park World Natural Heritage, Quang Tri Province, Vietnam.

The meeting also assessed the conservation status of 248 recognized heritage sites, including those on the List of World Heritage at Risk.

Propose necessary measures to protect these heritages from negative impacts from climate change, human activities and other factors.

At the same time, many important decisions were passed regarding the conservation and management of existing heritage sites that are under threat.

In addition to the official meetings, Quang Tri provincial leaders also participated in many side events to promote international understanding and cooperation in the field of heritage conservation, including: Workshops and discussions on the topics of “Capacity building to improve World Heritage management”, “Using the World Heritage Convention to implement the Kunming–Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework”, “Updated World Heritage Gap Analysis”, and the event “Launch of the updated version of the World Heritage Online Mapping Platform” organized by the UNESCO World Heritage Centre.

Also at the meeting, delegates will focus on discussing the topic "Building the participation of indigenous peoples within the framework of the World Heritage Convention", emphasizing the importance of the voice of indigenous communities in heritage conservation.

A highlight of this year's session is that all daily sessions are publicly streamed online on UNESCO's official website at whc.unesco.org/en/sessions/47com.

The broadcast has no limit on the number of viewers and does not require registration, demonstrating UNESCO's commitment to ensuring transparency and expanding access to information for a global public.
