Quang Tri supports the investment proposal of 6 projects of Newtechco Group Joint Venture

This afternoon, June 19, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province Vo Van Hung chaired a working session with the Consortium of Newtechco Group Joint Stock Company, Makara Capital Partners Pte., Ltd and Sakae Corporate Advisory Pte.Ltd (referred to as Newtechco Investor Consortium) on the proposal to study investment projects in the province.

At the meeting, Chairwoman of Newtechco Group Joint Stock Company Vo Thi Tuan Anh, representative of the Investor Consortium, reported on the proposal of 6 investment research projects in Quang Tri province.

Specifically, the 5-star hotel and Palm Park housing project in Dong Ha City on an area of 3.49 hectares with a total investment of over VND 1,630 billion includes a 15-16 storey hotel complex, 250 rooms serving 500-700 guests/day and night and a 4-5 storey commercial housing area; the Trung Chi Lake mixed housing project in Ward 5, Dong Ha City has a total construction capital of over VND 1,463 billion with 198 houses.

Gio Linh Resort , Entertainment and Urban Seaside Complex Project - Phase 1 with a scale of about 204 hectares; Urban Service Tourism Complex, Golf Course in Trung Giang Commune, Gio Linh District on an area of about 145 hectares; Khe Sanh Coffee Processing Factory Project, Huong Hoa District; Tan Do Lake Resort and Tourism Service Project in Khe Sanh Town, Huong Hoa District with a total investment of over 98.7 billion VND on a planned area of 8.16 hectares.

At the meeting, representatives of departments, branches, sectors and the Newtechco Investor Consortium discussed and proposed solutions to difficulties in investment procedures based on the results of preliminary surveys, assessing the conformity between plans and the expected scale and total investment of proposed projects in the past.

In particular, the 2 projects of 5-star hotel, Co Dau park housing and Trung Chi lake mixed housing area are currently not in accordance with the land use planning until 2030 of Dong Ha city and are not in accordance with the Dong Luong ward zoning plan approved in 2014, Ward 5 zoning plan approved in 2013.

Regarding the Gio Linh Resort, Entertainment and Urban Sea Complex - Phase 1 and the Urban Service Tourism Complex, Golf Course in Trung Giang Commune, through comparison with the map provided by the investor, the two projects are overlapping with the mineral exploration and exploitation planning approved by competent authorities...

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Hung welcomed the support and selection of the Newtechco Investor Consortium to invest in local projects. After studying the proposed reports of the investors, in terms of policy, the Provincial People's Committee agreed to support and hoped that the Newtechco Investor Consortium would actively coordinate with the provincial departments, branches and sectors to promptly remove obstacles and soon have specific proposals for each project so that the province has a basis to consider granting investment policies.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Planning and Investment to preside over and coordinate with relevant departments, agencies and sectors to connect, continue to provide information, guide investors to survey and research to promptly complete the procedural documents of the proposed projects to have a basis for implementing the next steps. Based on the proposal of the Newtechco Investor Consortium, it is hoped that investors will focus resources to soon realize these projects to contribute to promoting the socio-economic development of the locality.
