Clip: National Highway 1A passing through Ha Tinh is bumpy and full of potholes.
National Highway 1A, from the south of Ben Thuy Bridge to the north of Ha Tinh City bypass, is 35 km long, with a cost of more than VND 2,400 billion invested by Cienco4 Group Joint Stock Company under the BOT form.
The project was completed and put into use in early 2014. According to the design, it is 20 m wide, has 4 lanes for motor vehicles and 2 lanes for non-motorized vehicles with a median strip in the middle.
National Highway 1A through Ha Tinh province has a large traffic volume and frequent traffic.
After 10 years of use, the road is now damaged and seriously degraded.
Many places have ruts and asphalt protrusions more than 5 cm long, stretching for dozens of meters.
The road surface has many long scratches, hindering traffic participants. The road surface of National Highway 1A in front of the People's Committee of Can Loc district (Ha Tinh province) has wheel ruts near the median strip.
The road surface is seriously damaged and degraded in Nghen town, Can Loc district (Ha Tinh province).
The degraded road has made this place a traffic "hot spot", many accidents have occurred on this route.
According to road users, the large ruts in the middle of the road can easily cause falls. If anyone riding a motorbike with an unsteady grip on the handlebars, it can be very dangerous.
Along the 35km route managed by Cienco4, the surfaces of bridges such as Sim Bridge, Lau Cau Bridge, Ha Vang Bridge, Nghen Bridge, etc., are seriously degraded. The bridge surfaces are concave and convex, severely damaged, and have some “potholes”, posing a danger to road users.
In recent times, although Cienco4 has carried out the repair and resurfacing of many locations, especially the second road renovation project, due to the extensive and prolonged damage, the repair volume has not met the reality. The process of heavy traffic has made the peeling and deterioration worse.
