Determined to firmly protect territorial sovereignty and national border security in all situations

On July 18, the Provincial Border Guard Command Party Committee held its first Congress for the 2025-2030 term. Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Dang Quang attended and directed the congress.

Attending the event were Major General Nguyen Xuan Toan, Political Commissar of the Border Guard; members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee: Head of the Provincial Party Organization Committee Tran Vu Khiem and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Dao Manh Hung; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan Phong Phu; Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command, Colonel Le Hong Viet; representatives of leaders of departments and branches, and 120 party members.

During the past term, under the leadership and direction of the Provincial Party Committee, the People's Committee of the two former provinces of Quang Binh and Quang Tri, the Party Committee - Border Guard Command and close coordination with local Party Committees and authorities, the Border Guard Party Committees of the two provinces have promoted the spirit of solidarity, democracy, proactiveness, creativity, overcome difficulties, successfully completed the set goals and tasks, which were recognized and highly appreciated by Party Committees, authorities and people.

After the merger, the new Party Committee quickly stabilized the organization, maintained the principle of democratic centralism, promoted the spirit of solidarity, proactively innovated leadership methods, closely followed political tasks and local realities, and contributed to the successful implementation of assigned goals and tasks.

At the congress, delegates focused on discussing and contributing ideas to the draft documents of the 14th National Party Congress and the documents of the 1st Quang Tri Provincial Military Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term. The congress also set out directions, goals, targets, policies and solutions to lead the implementation of political tasks, build a strong and comprehensive unit and build the Party in the coming term.

In particular, the Border Guard of Quang Tri province is determined to firmly protect the territorial sovereignty and national border security in all situations, not allowing "hot spots", passivity and surprise; continuing to thoroughly grasp the Party's viewpoints and guidelines, policies and laws of the State on military, national defense, border and foreign affairs tasks in the new situation; proactively and closely coordinating with forces to grasp the situation, contributing to building a comprehensively strong border area, effectively handling complicated situations, not being passive or surprised; improving the quality of staff, especially in organizing and perfecting forces after the merger, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new period.

At the congress, delegates voted to pass the congress resolution and introduced the Party Executive Committee of the Provincial Border Guard Command for the 2025-2030 term. Comrade Dinh Xuan Hung was appointed to hold the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of the Provincial Border Guard Command for the new term.
