Attending the event were Vice Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan, along with former central and local leaders, businesspeople, intellectuals, and fellow countrymen.
The event announced the list of the Executive Committee of the Da Nang Hometown Association in Ho Chi Minh City, comprising 101 members, including 22 members in the Standing Committee. Mr. Tran Hung Phong holds the position of Chairman of the Association. This core force will play a guiding and coordinating role in connecting and supporting fellow Da Nang residents in the future, and will also serve as a bridge between Da Nang people living abroad and their hometown.

Speaking at the launch ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan acknowledged the spirit of solidarity and mutual support of the Da Nang community in Ho Chi Minh City, and expressed his hope that the Association of Compatriots would continue to uphold this tradition of kindness and contribute to spreading the image of friendly, righteous, and responsible Da Nang people.
"In the context of the city's pursuit of sustainable development and deep international integration, the Da Nang Hometown Association in Ho Chi Minh City will be an important bridge connecting resources, knowledge, businesses, experts, and investors to return and contribute to their homeland," emphasized Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan.
At the event, the Association of Compatriots approved its operating regulations, organizational chart, and work plan for the 2025-2030 term. The focus will be on supporting disadvantaged compatriots, promoting education and talent development, organizing charitable programs, and preserving Da Nang's cultural identity in the heart of the metropolis.
These guidelines are considered a compass for the Association's activities in the new term, ensuring practicality, widespread impact, and lasting bonds among generations of Da Nang residents living away from home.
At the event, the Organizing Committee launched a fundraising campaign for the Association's activities, focusing on social activities and supporting people in difficult circumstances.
In a spirit of sharing, entrepreneurs and the Vietnamese community have donated over 1 billion VND, creating initial resources to implement practical support programs in the coming period.
