Launching the Executive Committee of the Danang Association in Ho Chi Minh City

ĐNO - On the evening of October 25, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Danang Association of Fellow Countrymen held a ceremony to launch the first Executive Committee, marking a new step in gathering, uniting and supporting the Danang community living, studying and working in the Southern region.

Attending the event were Vice Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan, along with former central and local leaders, businessmen, intellectuals and fellow countrymen.

The event announced the list of the Executive Committee of the Da Nang Association in Ho Chi Minh City, consisting of 101 members, of which the Standing Committee has 22 members. Mr. Tran Hung Phong holds the position of Chairman of the Association. This is the core force, playing the role of guiding and coordinating activities to connect and support fellow countrymen in the coming time, and at the same time being a bridge between Da Nang people far from home and their hometown.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan acknowledged the spirit of solidarity and mutual love of the Da Nang community in Ho Chi Minh City, and expressed his hope that the Association of Fellow Countrymen would continue to promote the tradition of affection, contributing to spreading the image of friendly, chivalrous and responsible Da Nang people.

"In the context that the city is aiming for sustainable development and deep international integration, the Danang Association in Ho Chi Minh City will be an important bridge connecting resources, knowledge, businesses, experts and investors to return to contribute to their homeland," Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan emphasized.

At the event, the Association approved the operating regulations, organizational chart and working direction for the 2025 - 2030 term. The focus is on activities to support disadvantaged compatriots, encourage learning and talent, organize charity programs and preserve Da Nang's cultural identity in the heart of the big city.

These orientations are considered the guiding principles for the Association's activities in the new term, ensuring practicality, dissemination and long-term attachment between generations of Da Nang people living far from home.

At the program, the Organizing Committee launched a fundraising campaign for the Association's activities, focusing on social activities and supporting people in difficult circumstances.

In the spirit of sharing, entrepreneurs and fellow countrymen donated more than 1 billion VND, creating initial resources to implement practical support programs in the coming time.
