When he went out to get the package, the man discovered a 4-month-old baby girl and a 5-month-old baby girl in a shallow ditch near his home.
On December 2, Robert Deane left his home in Indianapolis, Indiana, and discovered two child car seats abandoned in a ditch. When he got closer, Deane discovered that the seats contained two young girls.

The girls, aged 4 and 5 months, were reported missing after the 2013 Hyundai Sonata they were in was stolen. The suspected car thief apparently found the girls in the back seat and dumped them in a ditch.
Robert Deane was out packing when he saw two baby car seats in a ditch near his home in the freezing cold. When he got closer, he saw two little girls in the seats. It is unclear how long the children had been left out in the cold.
Indianapolis police spokesman William Young said it was fortunate that the man found the two girls. They are in stable condition.
"It's cold here. Who knows what would have happened to the girls if he hadn't gone out?", William said.
It is known that the place where the girl was found is about 6 km from where the car was stolen.
Authorities are now searching for the thief. Police have released images of the car and are asking people to report any sightings of the stolen vehicle.
