Accordingly, the Director of the Department of Industry and Trade assigned the Department of Industrial Management to review and update information on alcohol production establishments, especially households and individuals producing handmade alcohol for non-commercial purposes; assigned the Phu Yen Market Management Department to strengthen inspection and strictly handle violations in the production and circulation of alcohol, especially cases of alcohol production without a license, of unknown origin, without labels and alcohol mixed with industrial alcohol causing the risk of poisoning.
Regarding the post-inspection of food products under the management of the Industry and Trade sector and the inspection and strict handling of violations, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade Nguyen Xuan Hung assigned the Industrial Management Department to carry out post-inspection of food production and trading establishments under its management, focusing on alcohol products, processed milk, products with signs of commercial fraud, not meeting declared quality, of unknown origin, and posing a risk of causing food insecurity.
The Department of Industry and Trade also requested the Phu Yen Market Management Department to conduct surprise inspections of establishments showing signs of violations; handle acts of producing and trading fake alcohol, milk, goods with illegal labels, and failing to declare quality standards.
The Department is responsible for reviewing and inspecting milk production and circulation activities in the province, focusing on facilities producing powdered milk, infant formula and special nutritional products; promptly detecting and strictly handling acts of producing and trading fake, poor quality milk, milk of unknown origin, violating food safety regulations.
Along with that, Phu Yen Market Management Department coordinated with relevant units to strictly implement the tasks in Official Dispatch 44/CD-TTg of the Prime Minister on preventing and handling food poisoning; proactively coordinate with other sectors in investigating the causes of food poisoning cases; promptly trace and recall unsafe products; warn consumers about products of unknown origin and poor quality.
